This movie was OK. I think it was more creepy then scary. Some of the scenes were disturbing and the ending was the best part of the movie. Not sure if it was worth the $ so maybe you can wait for the DVD.

i've never been in a sold out movie theater where everyone was screaming for their lives. brilliant movie. scared the craapp out of me and my friend, and i never get scared watching movies. there were jump out at you scary parts, and then there were just legit scary parts. i screamed so loud. thanks for the nightmares.

I enjoyed the movie. It was tense in that they leave a lot to your Imagination. Which always makes things creepy. I was worried about the whole hand held camera thing. I hated Blair witch but this was actually done really well.

I regret driving the 60 miles to see this show. It was tremendously slow and boring. They could have done so much more to make it a good movie. The last minute of it was the best part of the movie, and the theater we saw it in was the best part of the trip!! 5 of 5 for AMC 30 in Olathe, KS and 1 out of 5 for the movie.

The movie is all just a build up for nothing really. The only "scary" scene was at the end and that was literally the end of the movie! It was just as bad as The Blair Witch Project and I wish someone would have told me not to waste my time. No one at the theater even thought it was good and complained about it so that's saying something. I jump from things flying at my car window....I didn't jump once in this movie. Watching this movie was an experience. It wasn't so much what you get when you are in the theatre, but what you take with you when you walk out the door. It makes you think long after the credits roll. What makes it so scary is the possibility of it really happening. The only thing I didn't like is something that would take away from the movie, I really wanted to camera to follow when they went downstairs. Overall it was a great movie that has been haunting my late nights for days!

I will not lie and say that it was a very very creepy movie, however I found out that it was a fictional documentary movie (Clover field example) so when the movie ended I wished there was more because it was rushed at the end pretty quick. Also it was calm in the beginning and then things randomly started to happen so I wish there was an easier transition. Overall creepy movie and I'll prob buy it when it comes out on DvD just to scare some people, but otherwise I give it a 3.

I was really hyped up about seeing this movie after reading some reviews and the claims on the movie's web site. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I've seen Mickey Mouse cartoons that are scarier. There were only about 20 people in the theater and only 2 times did the movie draw a small scream from the women. In retrospect I wish I had gone somewhere and watched grass grow, I would have had a better time.

Worst movie ever. Demand to get my money back for such low budget, nausea inducing 1 hour 39 minutes of torture. For charging $10 per ticket, the audience should have at least gotten some nudity. The only thing paranormal about this movie is that they only had one allegedly love session. One night in Paris is a much more entertaining movie, at least it didn't make the audience throw up. This movie is excellent. I love to be scared and this did the job perfectly. The reason some folks don't care for this movie is because it is just too real. No big special effects, no tension building music. It doesn't spoonfeed you a well paced plot, it comes off as authentic. Everyone should go see it and make up your mind for yourselves. Don't compare it to Blair Witch or anything else, just have the experience and let it happen. It will scare the daylights out of you.

Definitely one of the scariest movies i've seen in a while! Definitely on my top 5 scariest movies next to "The Orphanage". Leaving aside the annoying girls in the movie theater...it was still terrifying!! It wasn't cheesy at all and i liked that they never showed the "monster"...i hate when they do that. The fear factor about low budget films like PA is that they don't rely on the obvious, psychotic, knife wielding vampire madman to get you going. PA relies on the purely instinctual human habit of connecting with a seemingly 'normal, young couple' and the almost believable way we come to know the events as a haunting, and they come to experience as the horror of their lives. The director heavily relies on our eyes' tendency to 'i think i saw something but i can't be sure' stint. And what really makes the movie is that, between skeptic and believer, who knows what actually happens when we're at our most vulnerable, when we're sleeping at night? Go see it with an open mind, and you'll lose a few hours of sleep.

"I walked into the movie expecting to walk out with wet pants, but that's not exactly what occured. I will give it this: it really was decently scary pretty much throughout the entire movie. I had not heard much about the movie before entering the theater, apart from having seen huge crowds lined up outside a couple of days before. The movie gets interesting with every night, and is not a regular horror movie attempt usually with sudden appearances of the ghost or such-alike. But it keeps you thoroughly engrossed and guessing what to expect next. The thrills are built up well as the movie advances, and get better with each night's depiction.
Must watch! Highly recommend..

i have no idea why theres so many good reviews. i love horror movies and this movie was brutal. there were about 2-3 good scenes that lasted 10 seconds each.......
the plot is dumb its like the people have no life, im sorry this movie was not good

You know, I was under the impression that this was going to be a true story - but it's not. That said - for a "Blair Witch" 'esque project, I thought it was very good. I think the directors really thought about how to creep people out.
It isn't out and out horror - it's just super filled with suspense and is super creepy.

You have to keep an open mind! Things like this really do happen! Not all hauntings are demonic! I have seen things that cannot be explained! I have pictures and recordings of haunts! These things happen to people every where in the USA and in other countries!! People don't talk about it because they are afraid that someone might think they are nuts! I can promise you they do exsist!!!

I walked into the movie expecting to walk out with poopie in my pants, but that's not exactly what occured. I will give it this: it really was decently scary pretty much through out the entire movie. Basically, every night scene I knew something different would happen, and it totally met my expectations, which means, it got better and better. Then, when you finally think it's AMAZINGLY SCARY, BAM the movie is ruined by the all original horror cliche that is "face lunging at the camera for a 'jump' reaction by the audience." Typical. It wasn't a terrible movie though. If you want a chick to grab onto your arm and sleep next to you that night, bring them to see this movie.
