Aside from the few distractions of the people sitting around me(laughing the whole time! Grr!) I almost felt as if I was in the Movie..it takes a while but it slowly sucks you in! The movie has a twist that I did not see comming! One thing I wish that I had done was take some tylenol before the movie...Gave me a headache, One girl had to leave the room because she got dizzy! The movie starts out slow, but things start happening at night and you feel safe during the daylight hours of the movie,...but not for long. It definitly out-does its predecessors in the scary movie dept. Anyone who says it didn't scare them...have been way too desensitized, and need to be shocked back into feeling because they are numb!

I go to lots of movies and have yet to go to a movie that scared me until now. I have already seen this movie 3 times and will be going to see it for the 4th time tomorrow. This movie left me with chills up and down my body. It is very realistic. Thought the actors in the movie did a great job of portraying paranormal activity in their home. I would definitely reccomend this movie to anyone that is looking to see a movie that will leave you thinking about it for a long while.

My wife talked me into driving one hour away to see this movie because it was supposed to be great but was only playing in a few places. I now know why this movie was only playing in select cinemas. Overall the movie was more comical then scary, if it is something that you really want to see then just wait and see it when it comes out on dvd, but rent or download it, it is not worth 20 dollars.

No jump out of your seat scares, but the overall effect of the movie was very creepy. It was scary by insinuation. The movie was still on my mind the next day. That is tough to beat. Film was budget, a la Blair Witch or Open Water, good to know going in. Definitely wasn't sure going in to see it, but was not disappointed.

I was so excited to see this movie. It was a good movie, but I didn't find it to be the scariest movie ever. The Exorcist, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and even The Exorcism of Emily Rose I found a lot scarier. There were a few scary moments of suspense, but mostly I found the boyfriend obnoxiously annoying and irritating throughout the movie. My 13 year old went with me to see it and she agreed it wasn't scary at all. It's your old time suspenseful ghost story. I think it's a fantastic job for a movie only costing $15,000 to make. I never saw Blair Witch, but movie goers in the theatre said it was just like it. If you want a good movie for your money definitely go and see it. If you scare easy the movie will probably scare you.

I went to see this movie with my boyfriend last night, and we got a little freaked out on the way home. It's not until the movie actually ends and you start going on your own merry way home that the movie starts pyschologically getting into your head. This was a rip-off of the Blair Witch Project idea. The movie was poorly acted, not at all scary and the camera movement gives the viewers motion sickness. An award should go to the marketing people at Paramount for actually getting this into theaters.

I am a big fan of horror films and this one was horrible. All the hype about being the scariest movie ever was bs. There was not a seen that made me or my friend jump. The entire time we sat wondering when something was really going to freak us out. There were a few people in the theatre but they sounded like little girls that shouldnt be allowed to see a movie rated over pg anyways. Even with everyone saying the reality of it is what is supposed to be scary the way it was portrayed it sucked. The previews pretty much cover everything. There is a few things that are in the movie that are not in the preview. But it wasn't any better than other scary movies.

I got kinda naseous watching this movie b/c of the erratic camera movements. It seemed to drag on a bit when there was no scary stuff happening.There were some funny parts stuck in between the scary parts though. I think a lot of people are gonna have a hard time sleeping after seeing it; and im gonna send them to the theatre for just that reason. : )

This movie was filmed with the intention to make the viewer feel that they were watching a "made at home" movie about a couple that was trying to get to the bottom of the strange occurances that were happening in their home while they were sleeping. To achieve this, the movie was puposely filmed as if it would be by an amatuer "at home film maker". Nicely done! This added, although the film was fictional, to the film's believability. The paranormal activity gradually intensified through the film as if the "nousance spirit" were getting more and more "powerfully ticked off" every night. This leads to a climax in the movie which I was witness to, sending movie goers over the backs of their theater seats!

I heard this movie cost $11,000 to make, which is shocking... shocking that they managed to spend that much. This is a case of incredible marketing and nothing more. Those people you see in the ads leaving the theater - they're leaving because they're bored out of their minds.
