By the end of the movie, I was rooting for the demon. I don't know why movie makers think jerking a camera around for the entire movie makes it scarier. It was very annoying and the movie was not original in any way. The actors weren't compelling and the whole thing was a waste of time. The only think they did right was hype the movie beyond belief. I bought into it and wish I hadn't wasted my time.

If you're waiting for the next installment of Saw, you won't like this movie. There is no blood or gore. No on-screen menace that chases bone-headed blondes through the woods. It's just good, old-fashioned suspense. If you can't get scared by what you DON'T see, then it's not for you. The first half hour or so is uneventful, but that's the point. It creeps up on you and by the end, I was scared spitless.

I would have given this 4 stars, but the budget that this film was made with earns it the extra star. Well done. I am a veteran of scary movie and even this one made me uncomfortable in my own bed for a few nights. Prepare to be scared. People who don't like shaky handheld camcorders are advised to stay away, as there is plenty of that.

The best two things about this movie were the last five minutes and when it was over. It wasn't scarry at all and the camra angles made you very dizzy. What you see in the trailer is the best part of the movie, and it saved you $8.50.

i give this one a five for this reason- at times in unfamiliar places i get scared of the dark- most people do- i grew up on 80's horror movies- so for a long time i was afraid of the dark- this movie should be seen by yourself with very few people in the theater- do so will heighten your senses and put you on edge- A. your in an unfamiliar place B. your by yourself- thats how people should see this one- the characters are likable so you develop an emotional bound with them- making you not really want anything bad to happen to'em- they dont annoy you like most characters in scary movies- and the story slowly builds up- putting you on edge- so go see it- by yourself

I was bored for the first 45 minutes. The last 50 minutes I wanted there to be more than what they were giving us. Not bad for low budget and first time shot at it. But they should have learned from the real writers and producers that if you are going to make a "scary" movie and hype it as such, you need to give the people what they came for and paid for. I liked this movie. I knew that it wasnt a real stor. OMG! I dont recommend anybody 2 c this movie. I wont ma $11.50 bacc. It was not an hour and 39 min. It was more like 39 min. The movie dont even start until night 11 or 13 so that was a bunch of garbage. When the couple did go outside the house, why did the viewers have to stay in the house. Wife liked it. I fell asleep. Despite the fact that the sound was exceptionally loud. Did wake up a few times to the sound of annoying screaming, like in war of the worlds, only this pile of stink junk was without any of the cool special effects. Also, in the end, she kills her boyfriend and throws him out of the darkness at the camera. Wow, that was the big scary finale. You can thank me for saving 2 hours of your life, now go spend your money on something worthwhile.

i do believe that it was a good movie, it was interesting,but not a scare your pants off movie. it really freaks your out when you get home and are laying in your bed at night. It was overrated, but still worth watching.
