Wow, I have been waiting for weeks for this film to get a wide release - and the wait was worth it! This movie revolves around the "strange, eerie things that are happening in a couple's home a short while after the girlfriend moves in. I think it plays off your fears of what might go on while you're at your most vulnerable. Loud noises, and doors slamming don't really catch you off-guard, but each time they happen, you squirm in your seat a little bit. I'm not spoiling the ending, but let's just say that things ESCALATE a lot in this movie.

This movie builds suspense like nothing else on the market. It's slow and purposeful out of the gates, each piece of "night footage" leaving you biting your lip and waiting on something worse...before cutting to the next day. This may aggravate many of the "I want it now" generation, but you'll appreciate that tension when things begin going berserk.
The Exorcist is no longer the scariest movie out there. This movie is what nightmares are made of and it hovers inside your psyche long, long after you've left the theater.

I had high expectations for this movie, but I was very dissapointed. It was clearly fake and not a documentary style as I expected. I expected from the previews that there were actors portraying the main characters, but they indicated the "footage was real", So I expected the bedroom footage to be of the real home owners. If they had used different people in the bedroom sceens (even if it were a hoax) where the "activity" was supposed to be taking place as they went through the movie, it might have been more believable. Don't waste your time or money. Some of the previews they showed prior to this movie (one with Mila Jovavich and one with Dennis Quaid) looked better than this movie.

It was slow going at first, but having read it was filmed like the Blair Witch Project I expected that. As the movie continued it kept you interested and wondering what is going to happen the next night. I loved this movie and would watch it again. It did have the whole theater screaming towards the end . I was really creeped out having to go home to a dark house. I had to force myself not to think about the movie because I was getting creeped out over every sound I heard. I would have liked to have seen it end differently, but the ending did scare the you know what out of all of us. I could hear people saying as we left the theater, I'm afraid to go home now and I won't be able to sleep for a week .

I love just about anything pertaining to the paranormal genre. I went in with the anticipation of seeing a great flick. I had only read and heard about it. I purposely did not watch the trailer as I wanted to be caught totally off guard and have a first timer's reaction to all the "good" parts. Well, I can honestly say this movie was a HUGE disappointment. It was, by far, the most boring movie I've seen next to YEAR ONE! If it is true that this movie was made for only $15,000, then that was probably $14,050 too much! At the end of the movie, the screen went black and there was dead silence in the theater. Everyone sat there for a completely quiet moment, then the whole theater errupted into laughter! No kidding. It was that STUPID!

Overall the movie was very good. I wouldn't say scary as it builds on your normal fear of the unknown. Those who already have this fear will be scared out of their mind. Like the guy next to me with his legs up and his hands over his eyes looking through the slits. I personally I am not like that. So I could enjoy the movie as just a movie. As movies go it was pretty good. The whole point of view is great, the shaking camera was a little distracting. Could have smoothed it out or had him use the "anti shake" option on the camera. To not give anything away the movie wraps up pretty quickly once everything starts to happen and then ends. Since this movie is to be the "video they took" you can’t expect anything more.

The movie is something spooky happen then they talk about it for 30 min then it repeats. The last 10 min were the best of the whole movie. The lady is dragged out of bed by her ankle from the demon. The next night she becomes possed by the demon. She tricks her boyfriend to go down stairs by screaming. He runs down stairs you hear something like a struggle. Then silence. Then foots can be heard coming back up the stairs loud and slowly. The boy’s body flies at the stationary camera. Then she is standing in the door way covered in blood steering at the boyfriend’s dead body. Then she slowly walks towards his body and starts to eat him. Then looks up at the camera gives it an evil smirk then comes to the camera swiftly going to eat you.

Greeat movie but does start slow, but that was for a reason. As the movie progresses you get to know the characters which makes the low budget spooky scenes work. Better than the Blair Witch and the camera action was not too choppy so those who suffer from headaches or dizziness shouldn't have a problem. Definitely a reccomended film.

This movie starts slow & does have a few humorous parts but overall a big snooze. Don't waste your money...I felt like walking out half way thru the movie...and it wasn't because I was scared!

If you go into this movie expecting a lot of action, you're going to be disappointed. But if you go in willing to let the plot develop slowly and allow yourself to really get into the creepy feel of the movie, then you'll love it. Honestly, I was terrified by the end. It was the best scary movie I've seen in a long time.
