Being an avid Ghost Hunters fan I have seen most of the "activity" that was going on. I was disappointed that there was always the same sound/music right before something scary happened so it eliminated the power of surprise. It had good effects and an interesting story line. I think it would be more scary for those not so used to paranormal shows.

i liked this movie, but it would've been better watching it at home on DVD with the lights turned out. being in a loud teenage packed movie theater, ruined some of the good scary parts. but all in all, this was a good movie, well made with such a low budget. good intense scenes! if it comes out on DVD , i will buy it! i recommend going to see it....

They hired a great publicist and had a great maketing campaign. I was sooo excited. I saw it with my 62 year old Mother and at the end her comment was "Is that it?" Pretty much sums it up.

Parnarmal Activity was great. Im not a huge fan of scary movies, but this one was definitly worth watching. It draws you in and hooks you before you even realize it. I would definitly buy it on DVD if it ever comes out, but I recommend watching it in the theater first. One of the best parts of the movie was watching and hearing everyones reaction. It totally keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Liked the format, nice change in filming style. To me it was too predictable. To be a "true" story, they used every known cliche. The younger you are the more you will like this movie. It kept your attention but did not live up to expectations.

This movie scared me, it stayed with me until this morning and I'm sure it will stay with me for a while. I woke up throughout the night, with that being the first thing on my mind and I would have a hard time going back to sleep. It was, as my husband said, the things that you didn't see, that were scary. He jumped and had the chills several times, and he never gets scared at movies. It was great. I would recommend it to everyone over the age of 17. Quite disturbing in some parts...but well worth the money.

Despite what everyone else says, this was a genuinely scary movie. I was seriously scared through much of it- perhaps the seemingly endless footage of a couple sleeping is too boring for people but I found it enjoyable. The movie really draws you in slowly and hooks you early on and keeps you engaged through the rest of the movie and by the end, you are really in the action. It requires a lot of patience because you start out with very little and it slowly grows. Those who are used to the constant action and in-your-face fear of most modern movies will not find this one appealing. Overall, I thought it was a very well done movie and completely worth every penny spent. I say go see it but it's ultimately your call.

Being an avid movie watcher, and a big fan of the horror genre, I've pretty much seen it all, heard it all when it comes to shock flicks and scare fests. However, I can truly say that this film seriously creeped me out on so many levels. One of the scariest I've seen in a while and that's saying a lot! Also, since my parents took me to see the Exorcist when I was young kid and I remember the effects that it had on me to this day, I wouldn't recommend this for small children.

Paranormal Activity was a simple & interesting story. But it had some of the more frightening images I've ever watched on film (and I love horror movies!) Forget the blatant blood & gore of the the usual Hollywood horror flick & settle in for some freaky feelings of dread!
I don't feel like the movie is over-hyped, I just think some moviegoers want in-your-face effects & scares. Paranormal Activity is horribly frightening because it's seemingly real & that leaves you unnerved.
I loved the movie, though I'd be interested to see what the ending was like before Paramount made any changes (just out of curiosity). Overall, I was genuinely frightened & highly recommend it to fellow horror fans.

if you like the blair witch projecy and other hanheld camera movie you might like. a little slow start but sped up once it got going. the doctor who helps the main characters roll was awful but in all the movie was decent.

This is the first time in MANY years that I was actually freaked out by a monvie. My sixteen year old daughter was so scared at the end that she started crying! None of us could go to sleep for three hours after we got home...we saw the 10:20 movie!!!!!

I was expecting a "scariest movie ever" movie.. That is NOT what I saw. It was alright, kinda dragged on in the beginning. The last 30 mins of the movie was the best. I would not buy this movie and would not want to see it again. Way over rated!

I liked it. Its was a good movie. Its worth the money. Its like a goofy home movie just like it was advertised. If you get motion sickness you might want to take something for it before you go but other than that i really enjoyed the movie. Katie Featerston in boxers and a tank top was pretty awsome too
