Im a huge fan of scary movies. Not many of them scare me enough to the point of were i cannot go to bed. But i must admit this one came very cloese. Truly a worthy challenger for one of the best scary movies out their. The one thing i would reccomend though is seeing it at home instead of at the theaters...gives it a more scary feeling

This move is very entertaining, but is it the scariest movie I've seen, no. It seems that it's basically a new twist on previous ideas that have worked and does so in a good way. I didn't believe that the camera perspective was as jerky as in "Cloverfield" so I was okay with that. From an entertaining perspective I definitely recommend the movie. FYI, I slept just fine after the movie.

Beware if you suffer from motion sickness in any way. We had to leave half way through the movie because my wife was about to vomit due to the deliberately amateurish camera handling.
All the jerky movement had her sick, and gave me a headache. it would have been nice if the blurb on the movie had given some indication that this was another horrible blair-witch style movie.

Watching "Paranormal Activity" for the first time is an unforgettable experience. Plain and simple, it's one of the scariest movies I have ever seen and I have never seen an audience react the way it did here. During an era of horror films where directors rely on gore, "Paranormal Activity" serves as a great relief. The director builds unrelenting tension so well I was literally shaking the whole time. A must-see and second to "Inglourious Bast#$%s" as the best movie of the year.

I was excited for this movie and ended up sorely disappointed. Blair Witch comparisons were quite accurate, although the camera steadiness was a *bit* better. It's a bit hard to find a suburban California home as eerie as, say, midnight in a Maryland forest, so the eerieness level drops immediately. There are a couple of unexpected moments that may make you jump a bit, but nothing that's going to leave you terrified to sleep at night. All in all, most of the movie was boring conversation and not worth the $10 I spent. Save your money or go see something else. This might be more fun to watch at home, but I'm not holding my breath.

I am a big fan of Ghost Hunters, and when I head this movie was coming out, I was mad that it wasn't coming to my state, I demanded it, and found out a week later that it was showing in our city. I got tickets, and have to say my opinion...I liked the movie because the tension and suspense built up through the whole movie, it was a bit creepy, I think it could have been a bit longer, but I liked it overall.

the other people that said this movie wasn't scary probably have the attention spans of barnyard animals. They have very short attention spans trust me. This makes traditional horror movie seem extra fake and not scary. You will get goosebumps fasho:)

This movie was a huge let down for me! I'm even like the biggest chicken when it comes to scary movies...the last one I seen was Pet Cemetary years ago!! I am a true horror fan so of course when I heard about this movie I just HAD to see it! I read some poor reviews on here but dismissed them. I thought maybe they just didn't have an open mind. Well, I'm here to tell ya that this movie is not worth all they hype. Don't get me wrong, it definitly creeped me out and made me think. But it does not deserve the title of "scariest movie of the decade". I could of done without the entire first hour of the movie. I will say this...the ending was the best part. Truly, turly scary. If it comes out on video I will rent it just so I can skip to the end! Kudos to the actors.

This movie was an ENORMOUS letdown. Absolutely the WORST movie EVER! I can't even believe people thought this movie was even remotely scary. They must be 7! This movie was a complete bore. I spent the whole time praying that something was going to happen and the very few times that something actually did happen, it startled me at best. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I'm sorry that I did. Awful. I cannot stress it enough. It was absolutely terrible. Not scary at all. It should have been a comedy. There were more times that I laughed at Micah's sarcasm than times I was "startled". Could have napped for the first hour - nothing (and I mean NOTHING) happens except a few thuds and some bad acting. But even the last thirty minutes wasn't much. I've been FAR more scared watching an episode of Ghosthunters! Also, the hand-held camera (like Blair Witch) is just annoying. This might have been o.k. for a college student's film project - but NOT a feature film. Absolutely boring, silly and NOT scary. If you enjoy Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State, or tales of the paranormal in general then you will probably enjoy this movie. It was really well done considering the budget that this movie was made with. Much better than many of the high budget horror flicks!

This is a very realistic horror movie. I will just say at one point more than 1/2 of the theatre screamed. After that I was shaking. When we left a girl was curled up in her friend's lap...the friend was rocking her like a baby saying, "It's okay, it's over, it's okay." I hope you enjoy this movie!

I love movies, but this is absolutely one of the worst I've seen (and I've seen a LOT)... I wish I'd have gone to a different one this week -- <sigh>. Don't waste your money... most of the frames in this movie are just two people in bed with NOTHING going on. The story line had some potential, but it seems research was poorly done prior to screenplay writing and the acting was B-movie at best.... no good emotion in the faces.

The only thing scary about this movie was the thought of dying of boredom. It takes place in 2 rooms and has 2 obnoxious characters. I wanted to kill both of them and all I really wanted was for them to leave the darn room.....It wasn't scary at all (and I get scared over very little things). I want my money back but mostly my wasted 1.5 hours of my life. The only part that was mildly entertaining was the last 2.5 seconds of the movie which was shown in the trailer.
