My movie experience was ruined by loud and rude people who laughed the whole time. I did enjoy the movie when I could. My husband is in a Paranormal group and this type of stuff can happen. I have seen and felt things that would haunt you at night. There were some slow scenes but the point was to get emotionally invested with the character and try to understand what they were going through. I look forward to seeing this again at home so I can fully enjoy it.

I enjoyed this movie very much! It was exactly the right amount of scary w/o slash 'em up blood and gore. I screamed several times and had to keep telling myself and my friend that it wasn't real. Although the end was extremely scary, the note at the end where the girl's whereabouts were unknown was over the top and made me laugh instead of the intended goosebumps. EXCELLENT MOVIE!

The acting was so natural-so glad that "no-name" actors were used & different characters kept really minimal. I thought the build up & pace were great--not slow as some others may have thought. We're so used to explosive, rapid developments that we seem to have lost all patience for things to develop more slowly. The special effects were great-not over the top but still really scary. Definitely scary, I usually don't get scared easily, this was a good one.

Had I not read Kurt Loder's ecstatic review, I probably would have enjoyed this movie more. The sound effects, buildup and acting were all superb, and the story was creepy enough, but the ending ruined it for me. Having said that, it was a little hard getting to sleep the night I watched it - and I don't scare easily. Definitely entertaining. And DEFINITELY better than "Saw"!!!

I enjoyed the movie, but I wish it had been scarier. I love scary movies, and was really expecting to be scared the entire time, based on what I read about it. It was a good movie, but it could have been so much scarier and I would have LOVED it! There was one part, near the end, that REALLY gave me chills, I just wish the rest of the movie had been that way. Overall it was good and I recommend it.

Pretty good. Watching the trailer gave away many scary parts so I didn't jump the way I might have if I didn't have a good idea of what was coming next. It would have been better if watched at home in the dark without all the teenie boopers texting and talking. My husband even enjoyed and he is not a scary movie fan. Anyone who thought this was "OK" or "Good" needs to make sure that they didnt fall asleep during this boring piece and have a dream that was a million times more scary then this movie. It takes a really long time to go nowhere until finally you reach the obvious end. although the obvious end makes the whole uneventful movie even cheezier by adding cgi to the girl to make her look demonized. This movie was good but not as scary as I had hoped. It would be scary if this stuff had really happened, but knowing that it wasn't true, I think they could've made it scarier. It got very good at the end but I wish there would've been more intense events. I thought the acting and the tension between Micah and Katy was pretty good and I did find myself caring about them. I just think that the "demon" should have been scarier and its intentions should've been clearer. It seemed to be sporadically and randomly harrasing the girl. I was just hoping to be genuinely scared but I really wasn't, a few jumpy and creepy parts but not enough terror. The scariest movie I ever saw in a theater was the original Halloween, way back in the 80's.

This movie SUCKED! The trailers and reviews were soooo misleading. They only showed the very end scenes of the movie in the trailers. Those were the only good parts of the movie and they were fleeting. My friends and I were so very, very disappointed. VERY CLEVER MARKETING SCAM!!

The movie started with a lot of camera motion, I was concerned, however figured it would not be too bad once the camera was set up in the bedroom. Disappointment #1, the camera moved 90% of the movie. I am not easily caught into motion sickness, however if I would have let myself I definitely could have thrown up. Disappointment #2, not only was the movie NOT SCARY, it was comical in the way the makers tried to make it scary. Disappointment #3, I got all worked up to be scared and was let down just like I was when I saw the Blair Witch Project.

If i wouldn't have heard SOOO MUCH hype on this movie, wouldn.t be soo dissappointed.
There were some good parts, but overall this movie was the same as Blair Witch Project: shaky handheld camera and all !!
