I'm a 14-year-old scaredy cat, so I wasn't sure I could handle this movie. I read a few reviews about this movie making grown men cry, so I was pretty freaked out. There was only about two parts that scared me, but even then all I did was giggle nervously. I didn't see anyone run out of the theater either. Overall, the movie wasn't that great, but seeing it in a theater with an audience made it fun. I'm sure if I had seen it at home, I wouldn't have liked it nearly as much.

Very good. It could have had more scary parts, but very good for what they intented to do. A lot was left to your imagination, which is the reason why some people may not like it, because they have none! LOL

I thought that the movie was surprisingly good. I did however read the reviews before i went to see it and i thought that it was better than i read. If you scare easily you'll like it. I'd compare it to the Blair Witch project meets the Exorsist. Its a MUST SEE if you like those kind of scary movies. I had nightmares for 4 days!!

I noticed there are a lot of mixed feelings towards this movie so far. In my opinion if you watched this movie when it first came out when your not expecting much then it might be a decent horror movie. But if your thinking of watching it now because people are talking about it and you have a degree of expectations then you probably will be upset in the end. Never watch a movie when other people hype it up too much cause then you will expect too much from the movie. Overall Grade: C+

I had the benefit of not knowing that this movie was fiction prior to viewing. Basically, whenever the first screen read: 'special thanks to Micah and Katie & their families,' I took that as "real events". Even if I had known that the movie was ficticious from the beginning, I think that this was a well edited movie with minimal questions in the end.

this is not a Hollywood budget film (kind of refreshing) but a "neighbor next door" realistic storyline that is almost believable. I never get freaked out or scared at a movie but every time the footage on tape slowed down to a crawl I could fell the hair on the back of my neck standing up. GREAT FLICK but you do need to be able to cope with the Documentary style video.

I can understand why people got nauseous watching this movie, but if they paid any attention at all to the trailers, then they would know that it was made on a hand held camera and could make an informed decision.
I personally thought the movie was effective in the way they were able to build anticipation and use simple sounds to create terrifying effects. I went home after seeing the movie and was spooked by the most harmless of sounds that normally I wouldn't have noticed.
This movie is not a gory horror movie. It is a suspenseful thriller and was brilliant in it's simplicity. I highly suggest everybody check it out!

I felt it worked up to a very good ending...made you jump, and definitly gave you the feeling of apprehension. For me a good scary movie has residual effects..still thinking about it and feeling scared or jumpy a few days later...this movie falls into that category.

Ok. First let me say that if you have any kind of motion sickness don't see this movie. I was so sick by the middle of the movie. However that being said...the movie wasn't so much scary as it was creepy. There were parts that were scary but it wasn't a constant state of fear. It was worth watching. My daughter and I went to see this movie on her birthday - hoping it would be interesting. It was by far the most boring movie I've ever seen - and she agreed. It was shot with a video camera which moved constantly which made us both nauseated and dizzy. Half-way through the movie we had to look down - it was that bad. The movie was incredibly pointless, predictable, and amateur. I would rate it a F. I have no idea how a movie like this would ever make it to the big screen - I would have preferred throwing twenty bucks in the fountain in front of the theatre to see how long it would take for someone to pick it up - that would be more entertaining. BORING AND PATHETIC!!!

I really dug this flick. It reminded me alot of the "Blair Witch". I think it's more intense when your following along with the camera Micah used. And seeing what he saw. Was it real? That's all I said throughtout the movie? I think that is what was meant to happen. That said, that to me makes it great. The ending was so not expected. OMG, glad I went to the restroom before the movie. Don't wait for the video!!! It probably will not give/have the same impact. Go see it !!

Despite all the hype I was still looking forward to this movie. Unfortunately I was disappointed, it was fairly boring, some parts were creepy, but it got to be tedious after a while. The 2 leads did a good job making the characters believable, I could have done without the "psychic" character. He was just there for plot exposition and it was obvious. His 2nd scene was clunky and VERY poorly acted. The ending was obvious, stereotypical, and disappointing. Over all. Not that great.

As a big time horror fan, I was excited to see this movie. I thought the movie was fantastic, not alot of blood and gore. I really liked the fact that it also didn't have the usual nudity so that my children could see it as well. It had all of the pieces that I would expect to see in a true horror film. I was a little disappointed with the ending, it really wasn't how I expected it to end. Other than that, I would recommend seeing this on the big screen for the effects.

My stomach was completely in knots waiting for the parts that were shown on the previews. I even felt nauseated because of the anxiety I had. I did jump at a few parts but the end was what I was waiting for. I'm sure that it was scary to some people, and it was a creepy movie, but for the most part, it wasn't too bad, despite the fact that I was all alone. It scared me like no other movies have lately but there were a couple of times I caught myself yawning and saw the woman next to me do the same thing. Overall, it was a good movie and scary. Decent - Although it took an approach that has been done before (Blair Witch); the movie has original themes and execution. It was creepy enough to be a fairly good horror movie. I was a little underwhelmed and I think it would need to be seen in the theaters to do it any justice but overall it gets three stars from me.

So I am the type of person that gets scared even by previews, and I was really excited to see this movie but kind of disappointed. It is definitely suspenseful, but not worth admission. save it, not worth the hype. rent it and watch it at home, it will be scarier that way

Finally a horror flick that seems so real it's scary and isn't just a bloodbath with a few gratuitous nude scenes. This is cleverly written and has you on the edge of your seat until the bitter end. It isn't one that makes you stay awake all night with the lights on, but is still quite thrilling.

Overall this was a good movie!! Although it took a bit long to get to the action, quite disappointing, but when it does get there it leaves images in your head each time you close your eyes.

To me, it was just another Blair Witch Project! It was pretty good for a low budget film. To me, started very slow. Some freaky parts...The best for me was the last 10 minutes or so....Just watching my 15 yr. old daughter and her best friend jump two feet out of their seats was PRICELESS!!!!
