Scariest movie I have ever seen. As a fan of all things horror and suspense, I can honestly say that this movie was truly frightening. There was a scene where my eyes welled up and I felt as though I was about to cry and every hair on my body stood straight up. I felt traumatized walking out of the theater. A very simple movie and that is why it works! It was fantastic! A perfect Fall/Halloween movie! Go see it!

This movie was not scary at all in my opinion. The best parts were in the last five minutes. I really wanted to let my imagination run wild with this and just couldn't get scared. I did laugh however. Maybe it's just me- but I'd save my $12.00 and go to a haunted house. My boyfriend loved it so..... it must be a work of art.

We knew almost nothing about this movie - and I strongly recommend that you do not watch trailers or talk to people about it - just go! Of course the movie starts slow - it's building the suspense. Allow yourself to be drawn into the lives of these two people. Watch as if it's real - and it feels Very Real. Without saying more, I will just say that I left the theater with weak knees and shaking hands. Terrifying!! Don't miss it - and don't wait to see it on DVD.

I don't usually talk negative, but this is absolutley the worst movie I have EVER seen. Worst than Blair Witch even. I wasted $50 for my family to see this and wish I hadn't. Scarry? Not one bit! I will admit I was very Skeptical seeing this movie just because the last few scary movies that came out were a joke. I liked this movie for one because the Actors portrayed normal people it just seemed like it could relate to normal people. Like everyone else says the movie did start very slow but it did give you time to warm up to the characters and find out why these things may be happening to them. My boyfriend and I loved it, it made my hair stand up on my arms and his. I have a friend who saw it and he didn't like it so of course its different for everyone. I do suggest seeing it in theatres though to get the full effect. I know if I watched it at home it wouldn't of been as scary!

I really liked but the beginning is really slow. The only thing that keeps you watching is that you know eventually it will get good and it did. I got goosebumps the first time I finally saw the shadow and pretty much had them the rest of the movie. I would recommend it because the fact that it was shot with a handheld camera and the special effects aren't grand make it that much more creepy.

The way this movie was filmed - first person shooting it - sucked me in from the start. It was a little slow at the beginning, but built the main characters up well. The theatrics and effects were minimal which may dissapoint some viewers. I, for one, liked this approach and enjoyed the suspense every time the couple would set the camera up nightly to capture paranomal activity. As each night passed and the suspense built I started hearing groans and comments from the theater audience. This added to the movie tension and was an unexpected benefit of seeing it on the big screen. Audience participation definitely enhance the experience.

I guess for this movie, it all depends on what kind of mindset you go in with purchasing the tickets. If you're wayy into the whole paranormal thing, this movie will seriously get to you and leave you up til the wee hours of the morning. If you're a skeptic like me... eh. For me Paranormal Activity was mostly haha. The first half is kind of slow, and for all the hype, you're just kind of sitting there impatient waiting for the scary stuff to start. The guy is pretty goofy so made everyone laugh. As for the scary stuff, the last half hour is really the only "scariness" I guess. But in all honesty, it's really the last 2 minutes or so of the movie that really kills. I will say though it was pretty suspenseful and I left satisfied.

Oh My is all I can say...I have never felt like I was actually in the movie like this one made me feel like it. I nearly fell off my seat and my voice was soar the next day because of the screaming. I have also never seen everyone in the theatre yell and scream even the guys!! I also couldn't sleep I had to sleep with the light on and didn't fall asleep til 5 in the morning!! I really enjoyed this movie. At first the movie seemed sort of corny with its Documentary Style and all the movement of the camera gave you a slight headache (and some got nauseas) but when it started getting to the good part of it, you tend to forget the style and the movement. Could have had more action and the ended left you a bit like you blinked and missed something, but it was great. Can't wait to watch home.

By the middle of the movie there were scary things. Then after that everything was garbage. The only scary thing that still hunts me were the tickets that we paid. 80% of the movie were about these two couples and living there fake lives.

What made it scary was that it looked like home footage so you believe it is real. I was on the edge of my seat holding on to my boyfriend who was just as freaked out as I was. Some parts were a little slower then others but you just kept wondering what was going to happen when they went to bed at night. You didnt know what to expect. I was even scared when I got to my own house at night.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The only thing scary about this movies was how much I paid for the ticket ... it was horrible. At the end everyone in the theater just kind of sat there going, "Was that it?"

Although, the beginning was slow the movie progressed intensively and kept us on the edge of our seats. Certain segments of the movie were disturbing, especially if you believe in Demons/Angels. We can't get the end scene out of our minds. SCARRY!!!!

A true scary moie! The special effects were just right, not too over done. And the acting I auplaud! I was on the edge of my seat probably about 80% of the movie! It's about time they come out with a scary movie other than saw that is half way decent. I would recommend this to everyone I knew that would appreciate it and enjoy it.
