This movie was definitely entertaining. Did I have trouble sleeping? No. Was I on the edge of my seat for the entire movie? No. But the acting was very good, the story line was believable, and there were definitley some scary spots. If you have a high "scare tolerence" (like I do), you won't be scared out of your mind. But the movie is still worth seeing.

Though the movie was a tad slow in the beginning, it really starts to get interesting when stuff starts to happen, and then you aren't even thinking about the beginning of the movie. Most of the movie is you sitting there waiting for something creepy to happen or something to jump out at you. Which turns you into a nervous wreck, which is what a good horror movie is supposed to do. Though I do wish there was a little more excitement at the end, it is deffinately still worth t he time and money to go see, especially during this time of year. I went to the 7:15 showing, and then whatched horror movies until 5 in the morning, then drove and hour home through the woods.....creepy night. :P

I love scary things and this was one scary movie!! I had a problem sleeping at night, I will be totally honest. I went to bed at midnight, woke up at 4:30, and couldn't get back to sleep until like seven when it was light out. Kind of embarrassing just because I love scary movies so much. Didn't seem like actors and it really seemed like a home video. Very crazy. A lot of humorous parts in the movie, too, not just all scary.

I thought it was a great movie. . I think the people giving this movie bad reviews are used to seeing buckets of blood flying around and million dollar special effects. If you have no imagination this movie is not for you. This movie was scary and creepy and very well made. it pulls you in slowly and gets much more creepy/scary as time goes by and the ending is very good. I recommend seeing it in the theater so you are not distracted and you get the full effect. This movie will make you wonder about your house after you leave the theater and youre sitting at home in the dark. Esp if you are alone. The movie would be better if u were at home. TOO many little girls at the theater killed the expeience for me. Best watched at home where you can control the noises around u. Otherwise very realistic. Not over done at all!

I thought this movie was entertaining but not scary. I have seen more scary situations on paranormal TV shows. You could tell the actors were not seasoned professionals, and at times the visuals were difficult to watch due to the motion of the camera. For me, the movie did not live up to all the "hype", but I did enjoy watching it.

The scariest movie of all time is still The Exorcist. Paranormal Activity is in this genre. I liked it because the woman acts and reacts as most women would and so does the man. He's stubborn and thinks he can take care of the situation. The woman is frightened and thinks he's being an insensitive SOB. I didn't get the sense that these were actors and actresses. It was so well done that it felt like I was truly peering into the lives of two normal people. Two of the scenes towards the end scared the @$%& out of me. The movie achieved it's goal. The movie built up to a well-timed climax and left me with shaking knees as I left the theater. Well done! Perfect Halloween movie!

For those of you who thought the Blair Witch Project was the worst scary movie you ever saw I give you this loser of a movie. The most entertaining part of the movie was leaving the theater. I will give credit to the special effects people who worked on this film for producing some good quality effects without making them look too cheesy. The moral to this story is: "Continually act like a jerk and bug your girlfriend and don't listen to what she tells you and she will kick your butt."

It was pretty much what I expected. I thought the movie overall was good. If you are expecting lots of special effects,blood and gore then go somewhere else. This style is more of what horror movies are supposed to be, not that cr*p like Freddy and Jason that substitute bloody bodies and gore for an actual plot and storyline. Alfred Hitchcock is rolling over in his grave with the state of the horror/suspense films of today.
