The best part of this movie was the ending. It was so unexpected and freaky that it changed my feelings of complete boredom and disappointment into curiosity and mild satisfaction. However, it was not good enough to make me feel like my money was well spent. I left the movie feeling like I should have seen another movie like "Law Abiding Citizen." This movie makes for a good movie night at home, worth watching on DVD.

This movie wasn't necessarily scary, but it was absolutely creepy, and it gave me what I was looking for, a fear based adrenaline rush, even though it wasn't really scary, but it was in some ways, it's hard to explain, it was a completely different feeling then any other horror movie I've ever seen, and that's what I wanted, something different. Also, how it progressed was so real, it was just an all around genius movie, I loved it!

I really liked this movie. I would reccommend it. If you're into slasher films and gorno this probably isn't the film for you. It's more of a psychological thiller. The fact that the movie is someone 'home movies' makes you feel like you know the characters. You want them to be okay...but it's a horror flick so they won't be! The suspense is built up slowly and then their lives spiral out of control. There are a few really good scares and I don't scary easily . What makes this movie intense is that you never 'see' the monster...anything you imagine is much, much worse. Go check it out for yourself.

I loved it because it appealed to my inner frightened child, my "bump in the night" fears. People who did not like this film actually need the FX and the scary red eyes and claws. If that is what you want, don't go. You have to involve your mind. The scariest parts were the ones where your imagination went wild. There was not a "thing" to see but there was plenty to see. I can see how a demon could possess someone in this day and time and our jaded world see it as a mental illness. God was not mentioned that I can recall. You can't fight evil alone, you lose. BTW I have never seen such horrible manners in a movie theater. You 20 somethings who whined and complained during the movie need to go get some manners.

....I've seen worse films but personally I wish I had saved my cash. The acting is better than Blair Witch imo, but the whole "I had to leave the theater" and "I couldn't sleep for days" comments seem awfully far-fetched. It was one house, three actors and a camcorder.
And there were a handful of creepy scenes / special effects and nothing more. Doesn't live up to the hype and should not have gone into wide release. And this is coming from someone who voted to get it into wide release. Take it from me - SAVE YOUR MONEY.

One of the worst films I have seen in a while. It's filmed in the Blair witch style all hand held work which will make you sick with all the movement. The best part of the film is the last 15 min or so. The worst is the build up which takes forever. There are 3 actors in this film whom all need to go back to film school. Im gonna say without a doubt...the scariest, most disturbing movie I have seen in a very long time and I have seen a lot of scary ones. This one is different though. You will find yourself feeling as though you are there, experiencing it as well. I loved this movie, but go into this movie not expecting to other typical horror movies. If you're considering seeing it (which I recommend) you've probably read about why it's unique, so don't expect it to be anything but what it is.
