This is a pretty good thriller but defiantly has a select audience. If you liked the Blair witch project you will probably enjoy this. There is some funny stuff in the beginning and the ending is pretty cool, but I found the middle section to be fairly boring. One total upside to the movie when seen in theaters is the audience reactions. You will hear a lot of audience screaming and jumping. If you enjoy those creepy could this really happen type movies defiantly go see this.

So much hype. So little return. I am greatly disappointed in the amount of positive attention this movie is receiving. And yes I fell for it too. You would think we would have learned with Blair Witch project. But no We still have the original SAW mentality that maybe it really is scary. ITS NOT!!!!!!. Hollywood could learn a few things from this movie. It was fast paced, suspenseful and very realistic. Boring at first 30 minutes, mildly scary in the middle. The ending, I won't give it away but its fairly scary. No cutaway scenes in this flick. All shot with a hand held camera. So you do miss some stuff but it feels more real that way. I had a hard time sleeping that night. From house squeaking to my ice maker, been a long time since a movie did this to me and I am a grown man.

I'm not a big fan of scary movies but I went and saw his with my friend. The beginning was a bit slow but got creepier as the movie went on. This movie makes it feel real because the actors had the camera and it just looked like two average people filming their daily lives. The ending I believe was the scariest of it all, I wasn't expecting that. The movie wasn't that scary but it isn't until you get home that it really spookes you. At least that's what this movie did to me.

Finally got good at the end, but probably the last 2 minutes. Not Movie theatre worthy, great for the film festival it was meant for. Camera moved so much I had to close my eyes thru the daytime parts and the interviews. It was a waste of money big time. All the hype was to make as much money as they could. It worked. I drove 65 miles to watch it and all I can say was the movie trailers, popcorn, coke and company was better than the movie. I have warned all 600 friends on Facebook to not watch the movie, it was such a let-down.

Being as this there are true stories out there with the same type of situation(s), it had me at the edge of my seat. For those of you trashing this movie, search the topic (demons and such) and see what you'll find. This was meant to have the look/feel of reality (like Blair Witch and Cloverfield). I could see that the day to day activities of the couple would've have bored some - but you got to remember this was meant to be seen as a video diary of their lives for that period of time. And I feel it delivered :D After seeing the movie, I headed straight to my computer to google it. And to my relief, found it was fiction...thank GOD! Would've scared my pants off if I knew this was a true story. Especially with the way it ended.

My husband and I both liked this movie. It is a bit slow at the beginning, however the suspense grows and there are "jump in your seat" moments. I would recommend this to people who don't need a lot of "blood and guts" or overdone visual effects to enjoy themselves. This movie was actually fairly good thru the entire movie. It was a fairly accurate depiction of an actual "haunting" and its investigation, There were an appropriate number of "creepy" moments that would probably result in the appropriate hand holding and arm grabbing if you took a date to this movie. Even the non-creepy scenes were good as they connected the audience to the couple. HOWEVER, creative genius (or lack thereof) reared its ugly head at the end of the flick and gave it a somewhat Cheesy taste as I left the theatre. IN my opinion it could have been handled differently , but watch the movie and draw your own conclusions. I still rate this 8 of 10.

I too read all the advance hype, then saw the hundreds of negative reviews here. This movie BLOWS AWAY Blair Witch, which sucked, and was not scary at all. It slowly builds, which makes it more creepy. The end is shocking, but a bit hokey. If you like "Ghost Hunters" you will really dig this flick.

This stupid movie was already done with the same stupid low budget, same stupid unknown characters and same stupid word of mouth hype and it was called the Blair Witch Project. This movie definitly plays with your intermost fears and makes you second guess about those little things that go "bump in the night". Not your typical "slasher" or gorey movie which was great and refreshing for a change...played on a more realistic level. I believed it so much I had to google it to see if it really happened..had me convinced. Would see it again and I will buy the DVD when it comes out!

Sorry, got to be honest this movie was good 4 some of it but the way it ended was like O it's over no credits. I think they COULD HAVE DOne way Better. AND HA thats funny SCariest MOvie Of DeCade MY aSSS. HA

This movie is a total ripoff! The whole set is a bedroom and a downstairs living area with two actors filmed with a non-professional camera by one of the two actors. You DON'T see any demons or anything of that sort. The scariest part of the movie is when the sheet goes up in the middle of the night (it is in the trailer). Watch it in the trailer and don't waste you time and money on this so called "movie". You ARE going to feel like a total idiot after watching this movie -- for wasting your money, trust me!
