This is the first time I went to the theatre to watch an opera. I wasn't sure if it would be at least comparable to going to the Met, but it proved to be an excellent experience. And if you are from NJ and/or can't find decently priced tickets anymore at the Met it is worth trying this alternative. This particular production was a masterpiece in itself: First Puccini's operas and La Boheme in particular are among the most popular and frequently performed operas - you do not have to be an Opera fan to enjoy them, all you need is a diversified taste for music. Second this is Franco Zeffirelli's production - I do not have to say more about that, if you are a real movie lover; I will just add that you might think you really are in Paris watching the movie (I guess you can call this a bonus). And last but not least Angela Gheorghiu (as Mimi), Ramon Vargas (as Rodolfo), and the rest of the cast, where just impressive. I guess Zeffirelli was right, opera is the most complete of the arts. Just go and watch it!!

I am hooked. I hope to go to all the Met Telecasts. It's like going to the opera in my own living room. The production was magnificient from the scenery to the singing and acting to the conducting and orchester. You can't beat the price and you can't beat the ease of driving to your local movie theatre.

Excellent interviews by Renee Fleming during the intermission and it was fascinating to see the installation and dismantling process of the set and all of the backstage processes! This is a real intimate look at the tremendous amount of work behind the scenes. The actual production was spectacular and the most touching moment (which we would never have seen otherwise) was at the end of the opera just prior to the curtain call. It was amazing to see how emotional these singers had become(one even reduced to tears) just prior to curtain call. I absolutely love these productions! Bravo!

After a little problem with the picture feed at the start, La Boheme turned out to be fantastic. This was my introduction into opera and I thought it was phenomenal! I highly recommend checking out opera this way. Excellent seats, great sound and picture, and the behind the scenes during intermission was a bonus. I'm definitely going back.

All the MET Live performances are magnificent. We not only got to see this beautiful opera at a much better vantage point than if we had been at the Met., but we also got a tour of backstage and intereviews with the lead performers, the conductor and behind the scene personnel. It's incredible what it takes to put on a production like this! La Boheme is always a wonderful experience. To see the Metroplitan Opera do it is a thrill! All we had to do was sit back and enjoy. Just a GREAT performance! And what a winning concept to broadcast live to theatres around the world.

La Boheme is such a fabulous opera. The music alone can make you cry. Watching the live HD performance was wonderful! Everyone that I talked to in the theater was enjoying it so much. Seeing the sets change during intermission was a real treat. The interviews were interesting too. We can't wait for the next performance!

This is the third time I've seen LaBoheme, and sure, it wasn't like being there, but it was very enjoyable, and the behind the scenes interviews and features were interesting. I would absolutely do this again, and recommend it to my friends.

It was the most wonderful experience! Almost like being there. The intermission features were amazing. It was fun to see how they changed the sets. The singing and acting were magnificent. We were all in tears at the end. I hope to go to the next performance!
