to properly rate this movie, there are a few points to make and find a balance.
-The special effects are outstanding.
-The fight scenes are so fast, I had trouble telling the good alien robots from the bad ones.
-The acting is horrible, with the exception of John Turturro. But, you have to accept its a movie about alien robots, so...
-Megan Fox is, hands down, the hottest female in Hollywood.

I am finaly pleasantly suprised by a sequel. This movie had plenty of action and did not try to do anything that its type of movie was expected to do. It even had a little light humor. very good movie.

The movie is very well done, great action sequences, and a decent storyline.
My only complaint is that there are some scenes that could've been cut out to make it a bit shorter (it is 2 1/2 hours). There's also parts of the movie that are unbelievable (the airplane boneyard outside of the National Air and Space Museum which isn't actually there), as well as parts of the storyline that were started and never finished (Sam finds a piece of the all spark but never tells the Autobots about it).
Would I recommend seeing Transformers 2 in the theatres? Definately.

I was so pleased with the movie. The action was great. The story line was great and I must admit (SPOILER) I cried when Optimus died. Silly I know since he is a computer animated robot. I would recomend everyonesee this movie.

Hooray for another Transformers movie! I definitely think the attempt with this film was bigger, better than the first. Although I thorough enjoyed the film from start to finish, I did not feel that the story was as good as the first film. There was a lot less dialogue and a lot more action. I've said this about other movies recently too, it was too loud and war-like. One thing that I did enjoy more than the first one, of which stood out much more in this one, was the metaphysical aspects. I never realized there were so many underlying elements of that. I would go so far as to say it is probably on the same scale as He-Man & Harry Potter with that. Fun movie though; you'll enjoy it!

Not near as good as the first movie. They've added way too much sophmoric humor which isn't all that funny. A lot of sectual references and language in this one, much more than the first. It jumps back and forth from a silly comedy to a serious drama/action movie. Doesn't work. Some of the action scenes are good. The movie was too long.

Everything that could have gone wrong with Revenge of the Fallen DID. Shia LaBarf looked like a deer in headlights the entire movie, there was a very small amount of scenes with Megan Fox (to the chagrin of male audiences everywhere), the script was poorly written, the jokes were very cheep, there were some very racist points, the action was cheesy even for a movie as fictional as Transformers, and the overall movie was a complete disaster. My friends and I walked out after an hour and a half of loud, obnoxious, annoying repetitive hand to hand combat by robots with an occasional Shia LaBarf spazz attack in between.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

As my son tells me, this one began as a shoot em up/blow em up, had shoot em up/blow em up in the middle, and ended as a shoot em up/blow em up. The movie didn't have to spend all the time developing characters that the first one did, so it jumped right into the thick of things. You are at a definite disadvantage if you haven't seen the first movie. There were a couple of surprises to keep you on your toes, not entirely predictable, including the death of. . .oops, don't want to give anything away. I liked it better than the first one, and look forward to a third if it is this quality.

'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' is non-stop action from beginning to end. The amount of amazing CGI is overwhelming. The plot is standard. The added crudeness was unnecessary, and detracted from what could have been a good movie for kids.

I gave 3 stars because I like the overall Transformer theme. These are the comic/cartoons that we watched and enjoyed with our children. However this is not a kid's movie. Too bad we won't be able to share the movie experience with the grandchildren. The language (since when does everything have to be fricking) and vulgarity (Dogs humping, robots humping) did nothing for the storyline. The writers took a great vehicle and trashed it up. I assumed this movie would be like the first and unfortunately did not read the rating details.

All in all it was a very good movie very action packed i took my sons to see it the loved it they 8 and 6,there are some parts where there is some fowl language but that is really happining in every movie now a days I think that the twins stole the movie this time, it is something i will see again

The movie was really good. I recently saw the first movie and I found it to be a good sequeal. The jokes were in the right place, action was evenly spread out throughout the movie, I found the characters to be beliveable. I did find it a bit long, and I found that the situations and plot got to be a bit distracting around the last 40min of the movie. Overall great movie would see again.

Yes there was plenty of action. Kids will enjoy it immensely. Adults will need earplugs. Yes there were dogs humping other dogs and legs for teens to laugh at, but not necessary to add in. The plot was easy to follow, the actors said their lines, and it all worked, I guess, cause I left once he thrust the dagger into the robots "heart" - I sort of knew what would happen next. I just had enough of the long battles. This was not as "real" and challenging on the brain as Batman - The Dark Knight, Star Trek movies, or even I, Robot. Yes, kids have brains too, but adults, wait for your friends to rent the DVD when it comes out, then don't forget the beer - it'll be much more fun.

This sequel delves into the background of the Autobots and Cybertron, as well as greatly expanding the Autobot cast. The 2.5 hours did seem to fly as the movie keeps a fairly constant momentum and does a very good job at doing it. The character development of Sam, his parents, and Mikaela, continues to expand, while the other human characters seem to be stagnant, but played well. The new Autobot characters may seem a little off, and they are supposed to be off. They do add to the story.
Thus far, StarTrek is by far the best movie this year and Transformers is definitely in second. This movie will entertain you, and it is slightly better than the first, but it is not quite at the "Aliens" level.

i feel like this transformers sold out the true transformers spirit for hollywood.
the transformers were humanized beyond belief in their personalities. the only thing that made them robots were their outward appearances and that bothered me.
also i think they took advantage of the fact that megan fox is one of the hottest chicks ever. every single scene that she appeared in was sexualized in some way to the point where she didnt even have to act. from the opening scene, to the ending 6 slow motion running scenes. other than that Shia is an amazing actor. there was constant really cool transforming. and it did have its funny parts. it was just an exhilarating and exciting movie to watch. i suggest you go see it for a good thrill.

I was worried that Transformers 2 would have all the same symptoms as Bad Boys 2. BB2 took everything that made the first movie great and tossed it in the garbage.
Those fears were realized in T2. Sam's frantic ramblings are old and worn out, the Transformers' personalities have become a mockery and the plot was left at the door. The movie races from action scene to action scene with a bit of cheesy dialogue stuck in between. Throw in a few racist stereotypes and call it a wrap.
All in all, the movie could have been worse, but that is really not the phrase you want to utter after watching a movie that you've been waiting for since you were a kid.

I was pretty much transfixed the whole movie (2 hrs 30 minutes is a long time to be transfixed)! Plot was good, lots of good moments--funny, poignant, exciting . . .

My daughter and I went to see this last night - what fun!!! It did seem to be trying to do everything - special effect, romance, comic relief, exotic locations, lots of skin, etc. But, the story was well told. A transformer expert told me it was not too good, but I have never seen transformers from way back - so I really enjoyed it.

Went to see it with my friend before I took my kids and man was I glad. Some of the language was not needed to get the plot across and the twin robots lacked the "IQ" one would expect higher life forms would have. Action was awsome but plot had way to many holes.

The action was constant. The story line kept me interested. And the comedy wasn't over the top, it didn't take away from the action and drama. And the part with Sam trying to save Optimus mad me tear.

"I thought this movie was totally awesome! The twin robots were hilarious, and the relationships between the characters really developed further. The action was great. I thought the movie was AWESOME! The fights were great and I thought the movie was funny! I appreciated all the jokes and the twin robots especially! The special effects were great-I love watching them transform! I'm a huge fan of Transformers and I couldn't wait to see this one. I will definetly go see the next one!

Good movie. MUST see if you like Transformers. But the first was better. This one is kind of jumpy. You cut from scene to scene too quickly, Un-answered questions, story is weak. The action and battle scenes are great but even they are to confusing to know what is going on.

Michael Bay did an outstanding job on this film. Shia LaBouf did a great job of bring back his character . But the movie was a little long. It explains a lot about the transformers and takes you across the world. This could be this summers best film. It is better than the first.

I loved the entire Transformers concept. I think this movie was great. I liked the development of the characters and I loved how I could see more of the mechanisms of how they were transforming. I was not expecting as much cursing, some of the se xual innuendos, and I had a problem with the so called "black-acting" twin robots. Overall it was excellent and I am looking forward to the 3rd one.
