This movie was a complete mess...I actually thought about leaving 3/4 of the way through because I didn't really care what happened...but I stuck it out hoping it would maybe end strong - it didn't.

This brings the 'kid' out in any man or woman who has been a fan of Transformers and even if you are not you may like the movie: lots of action, some comedy, and romance. megan Fox is still HOT! :)
The first one was a succes and this one very much as well! Go see it, especially at an IMAX Theatre!

The movie was great, and entertaining, i couldn't even tell that it was over 2 hours long. I would agree with one of the other reviewers, that the ending could have been a little better. It seemed like it happened to fast when O Prime came back. But still a must see.

This movie was amazing. The cinematography was excellent, the story line didn't have any plot holes, from what I could tell. I was riveted throughout the entire movie.
The action sequences were top notch and being a military brat my entire life, I loved how all the military tactics and destroyers were appropriately used,named, and so on.
The comedic relief of the movie was great as well.
All in all, 5 stars.
The movie may be a little long - but it was a such a fun ride to the very end. It's worth the time.

I have very varied tastes in movies...this movie was genuinely good. I was literally at the edge of my seat the entire movie. I have never been in a theater where no one spoke, whispered, or used their phone, that's how good the movie was. The special effects were great, and the storyline was good as well. There's some comedic relief (very comedic). Definitely worth watching!

Whereas I highly enjoyed this movie, I will say that it was nowhere near the quality, intelligence, nor spectacle of the first film.
Little things that were found charming in the original (quirky robot dialogue or awkward situations) have had the volume turned up.
Parents should be cautioned that just about everything coming out of the supporting robots' mouths will be lewd and/or uncalled for. Also a specific instance involving robot private parts comes straight to mind as well.
If you can get past these and a few jumps in narrative continuity, then you are left with a wonderful action spectacle which I will say again was highly enjoyable.

It was awesome! I can't decide which was better the 1st or 2nd. It was 2 1/2 hours long but it didnt bother me since it kept me going. It was filled with action pack, lots of fun, romance and comedy thru out the entire movie. I actually thought this one was more comical. The ending was a little EHHH but overall I loved it. I highly recommend!! Check it out!

Just a display of computer effects. Most of them well done. The story was broken, it was like a scrambled puzzle. Anyways, it meets its purpose with the younger viewers. My 6 yr old loved it and can't wait to watch it again. It is also a little too long for an adult to be "forced" to watch it lol.
Again, not much of a movie but good visual effects. Retains the impression of the first one.

Overall, it was a fun movie, but I won't pay to see it again. The turn offs were that there was just far too much foul language for what should be a kid friendly show. Also, this movie repeatidly exploited the "smutty side" of adult content, especially with the dogs and the girl in the college dorm room - adding a bit of "sleeziness" to the show. Those types of overtones actually done the movie more harm than good. In my opinion, the first movie was far better.

How many endless battles between automated metal beings can you stand? If you attend Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, you're about to test your endurance. If you're between age 10 and 20-something, you may be able to tolerate 2 and a half hours of computer-generated mayhem. The crowd in our theater, most of whom were in that demographic, certainly did, and apparently enjoyed it. As for me, at the wrong end of the demographic spectrum, I was ready to exit at an hour. Too much gratuitous CGI. A skeletal plot overlaid with a few light moments for leavening. The producers no doubt will be rewarded financially for producing this film, but don't reserve any seats for them at the Kodak Theater in February.

This movie had about an hour's worth of good footage and the rest was horrid. Way too many plot holes that Bay thought he could make up for with explosions or car chases. I never thought I could hate a character more than Jar Jar Binks, but there's a new winner in Sam's roommate. This sequel just felt "dumbed down" compared to the original.

For a girl who preferred Legos over Transformers, I have to say that this was an awesome movie. I didn't see the first one, but I caught up the plot very easily. It's an action-packed, shoot-em-up type movie that we've needed this year! The plot was smooth and everything was pretty much believable (acting and storylines). I recommend this to anyone who is looking for great action!

This was a great movie. I would venture to say, even better than the first. It was action packed with a good plot and story line. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I am glad that the same main actors were used, they did an awesome job. Some of the scenes are not suitable for children.

Amazing digital effects prove that anything that can be imagined can be put on the movie screen. But just like the first Transformers movie, this one is 30 minutes too long. As a movie aimed at kids and teens, it should have been no more than 2 hours, not 2 hours and 24 minutes. They could have told the same story more effectively in less time. My littlest one fell asleep despite the non-stop action.

Great effects, constant action, keeps you focused for the entire flick. My kids loved it, loved all the action scenes and the two goofy Autobots, who irritated me but made my 9 year old son just roar with laughter. My 13 year old daughter loved the soundtrack.
Cons were that it was a bit too long, with some scenes that could probably have been edited out, they did not move the plot forward.
But totally worth the ticket price!
