I really enjoyed the movie, more than the first one. The only thing that didn't sit too well with me was the language of the twins, they were a little over the top. Other than that my son and I loved it!

I saw it Wednesday night with my 2 young sons (4 and7) and my dad and step-mother. I was glued the whole time! I could have doen without a few of the scences (dogs) and the foul mouth of some of the robots (Really they knew young kids would be going because of the toys). Other than that, we loved it. We are going back tonight and then I am going without the kids Saturday Night to see it at the IMAX!
Really all the reviews about too many explosions, no plot and how slow Meg runs, HELLO think of the name "Revenge of the Fallen". Of course there is going to be lots of explosions and robots being detroyed. And to those who said they destroyed one of the 7 wonders of the worlds...guess you missed all those movies where they detroyed the world.

This movie was exceptional; I have seen the movie twice and was entertained both times. During the first showing applause broke out six or seven times throughout the movie.
If you are sensitive to some things your children are exposed to then you may want to exercise a little caution. There are a few adult innuendos and some profanity. That being said, this movie is good fun for all. Anyone who liked the first will really enjoy this one. Action, humor and great graphics.
I read a few critic reviews that did not do the film justice. If you want Shakespearian drama, don't expect it here. This movie does exactly what it is supposed to do, entertain you!!

So, I personally like the first one better, but this should not stop you from seeing this darn good movie. It feels a little like they are trying to out-do the first one, not continue it, but it does have some great action scenes, which are ata times a little toooooooo drawn out.
Overall, a great movie. Watch out with little kids, there is some language and drug use, etc, that may not be suitable.
Also, I highly recommend not having some dumb girl sitting behind you kicking your chair and talking through the whole movie, but that's beside the point.
Oh, and if you have the option- do the imax version- definitely worth the $2 surcharge!

I hated the 1st one / GM commercial but I guess I like to torture myself. More bad jokes and bad dialog. I still cant get over how bad the 1st movie was. Why would you make the transformers in 2009 look so lame and retatrted? Big noses and teeth? I'd rather watch the original cartoon movie even with the bad sound track.

I didn't see Transformers 1 so was a little leery about seeing #2 when my daughter asked me to take her. It was a bit long for my liking and I didn't quite understand everything going on but still enjoyed it.

I liked the movie. It was action-packed and the
robots were great. My son, but he thought the Twins robots were funny. I thought the swearing and adult pants shot were a waste of film however. What does that have to do with Transformers, anyway? Nothing! The close-ups of the robots were great and the new colors added a good touch.

Tons of explosions and the action sequences were definetely better than the first movie. They finally got full angle shots of the Transformers. The content itself was a little over the top crude. I'm really surprised with some of the stuff that made it into the final cut. It seems like the producers wanted to cause controversy. But those two transformers there was no hidden context. They were what they were. I also think the language might be a little too much for the younger crowd. But other than that, I actually thought it pulled through to be exactly what fans wanted: lots of big robots, explosions, Meghan Fox running in slo-mo . . .

This is one of the dumbest and cheesiest movie this year!! I am so dissapointed. Why are there two robots that behave and talk as if they were living in Watts their entire lives? They are aliens!! WTF! This movie fell into old hollywood rhetoric and cliches that made this so painful to watch. Megan Fox was void of any depth and Shia who is soo annoying, I wish the decepticons did rip him in half and sucked his brain to oblivion.

This movie was so funny. I love the action and comedy. The twins were so hood... LOL! I would not mind seeing this movie again. I know for sure when it comes out on DVD, I will be first in line to buy it. Michael Bay is the Man! Who said that women don't love action never took there woman to see a Michael Bay movie... and I'm quite sure having Shia LaBeouf as the star (and eye candy) doesn't hurt! I will definitely be adding this to my favorite movie list... It was better than the first one!

As a fan of Transformers since watching the cartoon in my childhood years, I was very pleased by Revenge of the Fallen. It had more elements which connected it to the old cartoon, including the search for energon, the Autobot Matrix, and Starscream's rivalry with Megatron.
The only complaint I have for this movie is the same complaint I had for the first one: too much time is given to the human characters' quips and gags which have absolutely nothing to do with the storyline. It wasn't nearly as bad in RotF as it was for the first movie, but come on, we want more robots!
If you love Transformers, action movies, or outstanding CGI, SEE THIS MOVIE!

The only bad thing about this movie is the length with no intermission. I thought movies this long had to put an intermission in. Everyone in our group, ages 13 to 60, had to go to the restroom at some point in the movie thus missing the action and disrupting the show for others. We noticed others in the theatre were doing the same thing. It there was a break in the movie the theatre would sell more drinks and popcorn and people wouldn't miss parts of the movie. I'll buy the dvd just so I can see what I missed.
