Awesome special effects but no real storyline...
Fast pace movie as you would expect but sometime to fast to really be picked up by the spectators (unless you watch it in slow motion once it comes in DVD :-)).
A few funny punch lines helps the movie not to be too boring and long.
Overall I am disappointed and I was expected a well rounded movie but got instead a movie competing for Guinness records for most special effects...

My family and I are big Transformers fans, so we expected to love this movie - and we weren't disappointed. It was action-packed, had the same hilarious story line involving Sam, Micaela, his parents, and a few old and new friends, and the special effects were awesome as expected. If you are a Transformers fan - you will love this movie!

The wife and I found the first Transformers to be catchy and interesting throughout with even suitable content for our 12 and 11 year old boys. Part 2 however added far to much raunch (yes I understand the targeted audience and thank goodness we didn't take the boys) and left what made the first so good. If I was 1/2 my age it might have been ok, definite rental material.

Transformers 2 was just as good as the first, which is usually always a rareity when it comes to sequels...This movie keeps the viewers attention throughout. There seems to be more cursing in this film than in the previous, so be cautious when taking children, but nonetheless a excellent movie and money well spent. This summers must see...

Great action through out. Enjoyable sencond installment. Some roles a bit over the top- for example the mother's role had strange and over the top funny monments. . Twin autobots were cute.

This movie was exellent. It kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end, the added humor had me bustin' a gut every few minutes, and the special effects were just incredible. GM's prototype Vette looks awesome just as Megan Fox does. The only glitch that Director Michael Bay did not cover up real well was Shia LaBeouf's broken hand. The adults watching the movie will catch that even if most of the children do not. Since I'm not a movie critic, I simply wrote the event off, although my condolences to Shia for the broken hand.

The 2nd Transformers did not disappoint when it comes to big screen action. The time to see it is definitely on the big screen. Don't wait for the DVD. You have to be able to absorb it. Lots of robots, sometimes almost too much robot on the screen at one time to track. Definitely much more adult dialog & scenes which makes it hard on younger set (for parents). Had to tell my young son to cover his eyes on the "human" robot scenes. Didn't appreciate that from the director & writer. Overall awesome Dreamworks movie.

The movie lacked a true storyline, any form of literary merit, the lack of a true theme. The only reason anyone would watch this movie is to see Megan Fox half naked and running around with her breasts swinging like a pendulum. The movie was around 2 and a half hours long but one hour of that consisted of fight scenes that dragged on forever and the viewer can't really follow whose being killed and who isn't (the evil robots all look the same). The graphics were superb as can be expected.
Don't waste your money on this movie if you think you will get something out of it.

Simply spellbinding, action packed, non-stop, edge of your seat excitement. The marriage between live action and CGI in this film is stellar and seamless. You have to see this one on the big screen. You will not be disappointed.

The special effects in this movie are just amazing. There is more action than you'll ever need in a movie. Too many fight scenes between robots and not enough plot. The movie could have been shorter without the long drawn out fight sequences. Not for young children, too intense.

I read one bad review before I went to go see it that stated that to 2 new autobots were stereotypes of "ignorant" black people (due to their accents). It said that every chance they got, the autobots made mention that they couldn't read. They only stated that once and it was in reference to a language that 2 other transformers said they couldn't read it either. Michael Bay wasn't trying be derogatory.
My opinion, the movie was fantastic and was even better than the first one. Great fighting scenes between the transformers and the acting was awesome. Plus, there was more comedic relief, which was good.
The only thing I would say is there is significantly more cussing in this movie than the first one.

This is one of the worst movies I have seen in a really long time. I cannot believe Dreamworks has put their name on this. The plot is nearly decipherable. It is simply explosion after explosion with very little plot to cover it. DO NOT waste your time. Wait for it to appear on cable - and even then, don't waste your valuable time. Life is too short.

Absolutely loved the movie. Totally agree that it wasnt as good as the first but it was really dang close. The only thing that kinda struck me was how short the last fight scene was. Fallen didnt put up very much of a fight and I felt like Optimus took a swing at it was over... coulda been a lot better!

you know that the second movie is never as good as the first......but this one is as close as you can get. loved the comedy in this one, really made to movie come together. acting may have not been the very best, but it was acceptable. action is the word of the day and this film nailed that on the head. can't wait to see what comes next

Should not be a children's movie...drew attention from the real story of heroic Optimus Prime and the struggle of the Primes to save the humans and our world. A great children's theme based on fun toys for children turned into great guffaws for a bunch of dirty old men. Shame on you Steven Spielberg and Paramount/Dreamworks!!!

The plot was very boring and just lame to be honest. I fell asleep while I was watching the movie. My girlfriend kept waking me up but I would just fall asleep again. It was REALLY boring. The ONLY good thing about the movie is the visual and sound effects. It stops there.
Unfortunaltey, one can't make a bad movie good just through visual and sound effects. No wonder the critics gave it a C- !!!!

I think that this Transformers was way better than the first one was. You should not listen to what all of the critics are saying. This movie is 100% better than what they are saying it is. It is very funny and it is a good movie to watch. I would recommend this to anyone. If you have really young kids though you may not want to take them because of some of the language that is in the movie. Great movie though. I want to go and see it again.

This Transformers movie was better than the first but it was 30mins-1 hr too long. I am surprised my 4 and 7 year old sons were able to make it through. The swearing was not necessary nor were the humping dogs or the humping robot???? That brought absolutely no value to the movie. Had to distract the kids on that one. If they would have cleaned up the bad words ,which I think they said most of them, this would be a great PG movie and attract more kids = more money. Don't make the toys if you don't want the kids to see the movie. CGI was really good. Overall we liked it.
