This movie is very little but formula Disney from start to finish.
There was nothing really surprising or interesting and nothing that would justify the use of 3D or the ticket price.
Little kids who haven't already seen this movie under 50 other names might enjoy it.
If you want to see a really good use of 3D spend your money seeing 'Up' instead.

It's basically a "coming of age" movie, where the overachiever gets her comeuppance when she sees that she isn't "all that", and then learns a lesson about life and love. The quirky family isn't new, but may be the best thing about this film. Michael Keaton steals the show, and it's nice to see this small comeback. Carol Burnett has some nice bits, also - - she hasn't lost a bit of her comic timing. Sadly, the newcomer lead seems to have mailed in her performance. At best, this is a pleasant film. You could certainly do worse... FYI - if i could, my rating would be 2 3/4 stars.

This was a good movie that I would recommend to older children (ages 9 and up). The storyline was a bit over the top and not very believable. Overall though a pretty good movie, some of the dialogue will be over the head of children but the action is definitely what they will enjoy.

This is, at best, a minimally adequate, action/adventure, preteen kid’s movie. Nothing much for adults. The animation was good, but stereotypes were used instead of real character development, and the non-animated actors’ potentials were sadly wasted, as they sleepwalked their way through their parts. If your seven to twelve year-old-kids kids beg you to see it, go ahead, it won’t kill you. Otherwise skip it.

If you like "cute" movies, see this. Nothing new here, it is another Alvin and the Chipmunks flick with lots of gimmicks from other cute rodents. I won't say this is the best children's/family movie I have seen this year however it was cute. My 3 year old and 5 year old got a bit ansy and bored through many parts, especially by the end they were out of their seats. My 9 year old son was more interested and laughing out loud. Personally I wasn't that impressed but I was pretty busy keeping the other two children interested and quiet.

I saw this movie because I love Tracy Morgan. He didn't disappoint, even though the humor was clean. This was obviously a children's movie i.e. its not like the Shrek series where adults get the jokes more often than the kids. But overall I enjoyed myself. Very good movie.

This is a great family movie that is just as entertaining for the adults as it is for the kids. I saw both versions and the 3-D like most 3-D's are just not worth the extra money for a few scenes of noticable 3-D effects.
