In recent yrs. i have seen a trend in disney movies callling movies "G" movies but i took my 8 yr old to see this movie and she was in tears in the fist half hr. of the movie do to the wife's death. I would not recomend this movie for anyone under the age of 13 this movie should have been a pg or pg-13 rating. So she was not happy at all and In turn im very displeased with this movie and the rating given to it another movie to watch out for is the hunchback of not. do to the sean of hanging where the shadow shows the hanging person. Hope that disney sees and rethinks its movies.

I read the reviews and wholeheartedly agree this was an excellent movie. My 15 yr old daughter and I went to see Up and although never disappointed by a Disney/Pixar movie, we were thrilled with it. I recommend this movie for everyone regardless of age. It definitely makes you think about life and relationships. Great Job!!!

Fercrissakes, I still can't believe how emotionally wrenching the first ten minutes of this comedy was. Usually I hold to the maxim that says 'montage' is the root of all evil, but this opening sequence was the leanest, most elegant story telling I can remember.
In reality only a small series of vignettes, but so honest and character driven as to define the rest of the film. All the characters exhibit such depth and range of emotion rare for any film, animated or not. The comedy was delightful, the thrills scary and the heart honest and true.

Usually I HATE children's movies, with their stupid plots and their bathroom jokes. But "UP" is not your typical children's movie. It has a storyline that manages to deliver a number of deeply resonant messages in a way that doesn't leave you feeling like you need a shot of insulin. It is bittersweet, and I heard the (teenaged) viewers behind me talking about how they were crying during the sad parts. But it has a very positive ending. There was no creepy or offensive message or image, just a very well done and enjoyable film. You do need to suspend your disbelief, as this move has a very fantastical premise. But don't miss this one.

The movie deals with people growing old and trying to live their dreams. Children in the theater did no understand it, were crying over the stressful scenes of people who look like their grand fathers trying to kill each other. This is an excellent family movie, for all ages. I am a 70 year old grandmother of 11, and I wholeheartedly approve of and highly recommend this movie. Pixar has done it once again. I saw the movie yesterday with my six year old grandson (his third time) which made it more enjoyable. I'm not sure what is worth talking about more... the incredibly, heartwarming, imaginative story or the amazing animation.
But there are so many great features to this movie.
As usual Pixar plays with your emotions. One minute your happy, next your sad, and then you're on the edge of the seat wonder what's going to happen. Not many films can make you feel like this one can.

"Up" is the first movie in a long time that I can truly recommend to anyone. It is touching, funny, sad, heartwarming, sweet, and ultimately very fun. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride even on multiple viewings. I will say to bring a package of tissues (or at least go get some napkins from the concession stand), because this movie will have you in tears within 10 minutes. "Up" is, in my humble opinion, the best movie that Pixar has put forth in its brief history, and if any movie this year can be better, 2009 will most certainly be a great year at the movies.

Had a great time watching this with fellow adults and a nursing home resident. Moving, funny, and creative - has great appeal for both the older and the younger.

I give this movie the classic "two thumbs up!" because I thought it had all the elements of a classic "two thumbs up" movie. Characters were developed appropriately and progressed through the movie and had the basic feel for an all around great movie! Hats off to the characters and definitely those who contributed to such a great family film!

This has to be the best Pixar movie since both Toys Storys came out. I can't comment on the 3D experience since I did not see the movie in 3D. I urge everyone to check it out!
