This was a movie that moved you from tears to laughter in a period of five minutes. All of the characters had great chemistry, granted their cartoons, but they did. I fell for the plot, the people, and even Dug and Kevin. I went with two friends, we're all 19, and my father, and this movie got great ratings from all of us. The kids in the theater didn't quite understand all of what was happening but seemed to enjoy most of it. I'd say a great Pixar success. I only wish I had seen it in 3D.

This was a great movie. It was funny but also taught a lesson in being kind to others in a way that all could understand, espcially children. It was handled with grace and love for children as Disney always does. I would recommend this film to all ages.

In all things that make a Pixar film enjoyable to watch, Up truely delivers. The animation is outstanding. the way in which the characters are drawn make them come alive. Subtle emotional tells came through in each character, makeing one forget that they were watching cartoon creatures. the writting was once again on par with the artistry. In Up, however, Pixiar chose to deal with more emotional topics, i.e. the loss of a beloved wife, absentee parentism, and ageism. I beleive this was a bold move on Pixar's part. Animation films need not only be for children, but if the story lines are insipit, few adults will go see them. I went with my fiance and some friends, all in our twenties and thirties, and we were impressed.

She loved it. Enjoyed the storyline and comedy as well as the animation.

We went as a family to this movie. Our 7 year old loved it. Our 3 year old was scared at some points but overall was riveted.
I would highly recommend it. Clever, witty banter that will keep the adults amused and wonderful animation for the children.
The chemistry between Carl and Russell was terrific. Strong duo like Baloo and Mowgli.

There is a reason that this movie is scoring perfects from the reviewers and critics, it is ideal. Forget that it is brilliantly animated, and filled with vibrant colors and images, because honestly that is all icing. The heart of this movie is the story and how wonderfully it is told. I experienced the entire range of emotions along with Carl. When he felt love I felt it, when he felt loss and alienation, so did I. That is not easy to achieve and to bundle it with so many laughs is also a treat. I recommend this for everyone but especially adults. Do not be deterred by the animation or the colors, it is wonderful. And you'll love the dogs!

This movie was everything (funny, touching, high action) without trying too hard. There's something to appeal to everyone in the family. Our three boys (9,7, and 3) loved it as did my husband and I - all for different reasons. The scenes at the beginning that chronicle his life to date are very touching just set to music. Throughout the story, there are scenes that touch the parental heart. Our boys loved the action and the interaction between Kevin and Russell. Very family appropriate. One of the rare movies we'll eventually own.

My husband and I knew to expect a great movie after viewing Wall-E. We just didn't know how great. We also knew that this movie would have underlying messages for adults as Wall-E did. We honestly believe Disney Pixar movies are for teens to mid-adults but because everyone associates any type of animated movie with children that is what they HAVE to market to. Regardless, this movie was so good and touching we want to see it again. It really hits on some life lessons. I hate that people are actually giving the story line on here. They really should not. As little things they list give away some highlights and ruin the experience for some. We immediately called my parents and family to tell them to go see it.

Went to opening night of UP with my 5 and 10 year old boys and husband....we could not keep our eyes off the screen. Great story...both inspiring and sad...but very uplifting. Had some great humor and non-stop action. I would recommend this movie to any child OR adult that I know....way to go PIXAR....you have done it again! Incredible direction and story line.

Took kids ages range from 7-14.......And they all loved it! They enjoyed it alot as well as I did. I took my 3 yr old little brother to see up and it was his first movie theater experience. Personally i found him to be a little young for it because there are some scenes about the husband and wife he probably did not understand and found boring. Surprisingly though it left smiles on his face and he didn't get up once. It was a hilarious fun movie.

This was another great Pixar film, however I cannot give it 5 stars. Some small children (for which the film is marketed) were frightened numerous times during the film. There are menacing dogs, gunfire, and the worst of worst, balloons popping! The movie is rated PG for these things, but the trailers I saw were innocuous compared to the movie. My 7 yr old girl loved it, not so much my 4 and 6 yr old girls. If you have sensitive children, you may want to wait on this one.

I could not recommend "Up" more. It's such a beautiful, funny, sad, thrilling, imaginative, emotional journey. The animation is gorgeous, the ideas are consistently inventive, the voice-over work is inspired, its sadness is perfectly balanced with its light humor and it's one of the most fulfilling emotional rides I've had in a movie theater. Yet another fantastic spectacle from Pixar, and I didn't even see it in 3D! The short, Partly Cloudy, was also adorable and funny. Up itself is a hilarious, unbelievably exquisite computer-animated masterpiece. I loved the animals and the people, even though I was skeptical at first how I would relate to the characters, but Pixar has made me fall in love with a little boy scout and a cranky old man! Will be seeing this one again in 3D- I highly recommend everyone else do the same!

The film is great and you can find lots of reviews of it online. I'm writing to say that seeing it at AMC was an absolutely painful experience because we had to sit through endless awful trailers and advertisements for children's shows. We got to see a trailer for a movie with guinnea pigs that talk THREE TIMES in TWENTY MINUTES. Good lord it looks awful. And the TV commercials were brutal. Add to that some horrid infomercial about hope or something by some bizarre religious group... by the time the movie started I was ready to walk. Fortunately the film itself is very good. Come in at the last minute and save yourself the agony.
