This movie was amazing - I think I enjoyed it more than the kids in the theater! Definitely one of the better movies that Disney - Pixar has ever made. This movie made me laugh out loud, and it made me cry. It was a really cute movie, and had a really good plot.

This was a very cute movie. I loved it, but we had to leave after an hour. The last 30 minutes were just too scary for my 3.5yo. She watches a lot of other disney movies, but I think it was just too much on the big screen. It's definitely PG...not G like we wrongly assumed. That's our fault for not looking at the rating before we went. My friend's 6yo cried through most of it because a woman dies early on in the movie and that made her really sad.
All that being said...it was a delightful movie for the grown-ups! :-)

Definatly recommend this movie even if you don't have kids! We took our 4 1/2 yr old and 3 yr old. Our 3 year old can't sit still for a movie at home and the last time we took him to the theatre my husband had to take hime out quite a few times. He sat still for the whole movie! Loved it!

This was a complete surprise! What I thought would be a good movie, turned out to be a brilliant and very funny movie. Comedies out right now don't have what this has....GREAT writing! This movie will be a classic for the next 50 years. Both the humor (squirrel!) and the emotion are so well written it is amazing. I was babysitting my cousins last night when we went to see UP. I was completely disappointed in the beginning when the first thing they did was show the woman dying in the first 15 minutes. My friends are still *LTBO* @ME (I cried) I took my 9 year old, and he loved it, couldn’t stop laughing (@me). If you’re emotional bring some Kleenex. But there’s a lot to laugh at too. I loved it, can't wait to buy it on DVD.

I have no idea what I liked best about this movie. Somehow the writers conveyed the depth - SQUIRREL! - somehow the writers conveyed the depth and length of Carl and Ellie's love, with few words, in about 5 minutes. Up was as good as I expected! It started out really serious with some tear jerker scenes. There was a lot of action in the end... I was a little worried that my 3-year old was scared but he did fine. Nothing really scary happened but there was a lot of danger and suspense happening around the end of the movie. Another excellent film from the Pixar studios. A truly touching story about an older gentleman who believes the best years of his life are behind him, and the young boy who shows him that adventures can happen at any age. Some of the issues in the movie are heavy for young children, so parents might want to be prepared to explain sickness and death. It is shown in a very tasteful manner but small children might still have questions. Young children under the age of six might be frightened during some scenes but the comedy that is classic Pixar should quickly alleviate any fears. Teenagers and adults will enjoy the movie as much as the children will. Five stars.

I would highly recommend this movie. I went on a date and the both of us enjoyed it completely. The kids in the theater seemed to enjoy it, but I think the adults left touched the most. No matter your age, don't miss out on this one. It will surpass all your expectations.

We took our grandchildren (ages 4 and 8). We all loved this movie. The animation is wonderful and the storyline is touching and funny. We will definitely buy this when it comes out on DVD. Great for the whole family! The children,(and adults), want to see it again!
