I went with my 5 yr old daughter and felt that this movie had too much tragedy, pain and loss for a childrens movie, It was very dark subject matter ie the pain of grownig old alone, the death of a spouce, inablility to concieve, public humiliation, mental health issues and fear and paranoia. They did manage some redemption by the movie's end, none the less not really a feel good movie.

This movie was one of the best kids movies I have seen since the first Shrek. My kids and, both my husband and myself really enjoyed it. The beginning of the movie was a bit sad and had to be explained to the kids, but the rest was funny and had a great lesson at the end for all ages.

This was an AWESOME movie! It held the attention of my seven-year-old son, my almost three-year-old son and myself. I too experienced a wide range of emotion and felt the movie did a great job of balancing some of life's hardest lessons with some of life's most joyful experiences. I don't usually buy movies, but I will definitely be purchasing this film when it goes to DVD so that my whole family can enjoy it throughout the years.

The story was touching (hubby and I wiped eyes a few times) and beautiful to watch. Pixar people don't feel they have to have a gag a minute to keep the movie going which is quite refreshing. My 10 year old son liked the movie a lot but I am not sure how much the very young ones would get out of it. The story is after all about an old man and there are large segments that are just images, no talking.

My sis and I took my 4 yr old nephew to see it! He loved it, but I'd venture to say she and I loved it more! It was laugh-out-loud funny, kept you wondering "what's gonna happen next?", and even managed to make my sis cry at one point...it's definitely full of emotion! I'm not big on buying movies, but this is one I will most certainly own as soon as it's available on DVD!

My 57 year old father, my 8 year old son and I (31) went to see this yesterday. All three of us loved it. This movie is fantastic for all ages. Although, AS USUAL they showed all the funny parts during the previews over the last year they didn't ruin the movie by doing so. Since it's Disney, I had to expect that tear jerking moment but of course they certainly bring you back up with the comedy and animated-action. The characters were hilarious and heart warming at the same time. Do NOT wait for the DVD...go see it now!

I was surprised by this movie - in a wonderful way. It is a truly moving love story and a reminder to live and enjoy life for the dreams and for the reality. Both my daughter and I loved this movie, though perhaps for different reasons. All the characters were wonderful, from Doug the dog to the main character, Carl. This is a movie that I will want to watch again with her on DVD, for sure.

Absolutely fantastic! Even my six month old daughter thought it was great! She sat there giggling and squealing (perhaps a little annoying to the other moviegoers), but it was adorable nonetheless. This new Pixar creation has got to be its best thus far. This is and will be a classic for all ages. This movie will touch alot of emotions, but mostly make you laugh and feel like a kid again.
