We just saw this movie on its second day out and loved it! We did not see the 3D one, but would love to go back again and see it. My two boys ages 4 and 6 really liked it as well as the couple who saw it with us without kids. The characters are so real to life and there are some very touching and very funny moments. Be prepared to maybe shed a tear and laugh a lot. Another winner from Pixar!

Great movie for kids and adults alike. Spectacular animation with incredible detail. Plenty of laughs and sniffles heard in the audience throughout the movie. Sweet, funny and adventurous action. Boys may enjoy it more due to the lack of female characters (there are two), but they are strong females. My 9 year old son loved it.

This is truly a family movie with something for everyone. I took my 9 year old son, and we both thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It made you run the gamut of emotions, and was hysterical at the same time. Kevin is one funny bird, and Doug, wow, I'm still laughing when I think about that dog. You can take small kids they won’t get the sad sentimental parts, but the action and the color will keep them enthralled. Great flick!!

The beginning of the story introduces the main character in a very sweet and sensitive way and when he becomes involved with all the characters he meets, the adventures begin and they are none stop from beginning to end. My husband and our grandchildren throughly enjoyed this movie and we would love to see the 3D version as well. I only saw one negative review from someone of similar age to me and I would have to say this person obviously only sees the glass as "half empty" instead of "half full".

Since the movie was promoted as a children's comedy, I was disappointed that the plots and subplots were somber and depressing. While the story was certainly solid for a more mature audience, the depressing subplots were thankfully missed by my 3 and 6 year old children who didn't understand what was happening. The graphics were great, the characters great - just not for such a young audience.

The first 15 minutes had both me and my husband choked up -- really beautiful. The rest of the movie was a lot more action-adventure than I was expecting. People with small children might want to think twice before taking their kids. There were some really scary/violent parts that I think might be frightening to little kids. As always, though, the movie as a whole is still better than most other movies out there today.

As the first movie to take my son to it was a perfect choice - adult and child humor mixed with an endearing tale. I would highly recommend this movie to parents whose children enjoyed other Pixar offerings.

This was a great movie. We took our 4 year old and the beginning was slow for her but she loved it as soon as the balloons were shown. As an adult, the beginning 15 minutes was very sweet and heartwarming and showed true human emotion.

I loved this movie! Very funny! There are some scary parts in it as my 6 yr old son showed by jumping on my lap but I would recommend this to anyone w/ kids 5-10. I also took my niece, 9, and she liked it as well.

My son who is 4 years old and I just saw this and both really enjoyed it. In the tradition of Pixar movies it is very well done and appeals to adults and children. However - the last action scene is extremely intense - my son kept his eyes covered for most of it and when talked later he said that he was scared. So if your child is easily scared - be aware - other smaller kids were crying. My son did enjoy the rest as well as myself. I would recommend it.

We have been a fan of Pixar since Toy Story and Luxo Jr. However, Up has definitely upped the ante!
Rarely do we "share" a movie experience anymore with our fellow moviegoers. In this day of DVD"s and Blue Ray, sitting a room with others and sharing a movie seems lost. That all changed after seeing Up. The entire theatre was laughing and having a great time. The animation is flawless (Thanks Render Man 2).
Character delveopment was very well done and the cross -appeal to the older generation by having some of the characters look like stars gone by also works (they even got Kirk Douglas' chin dimple) , music score and story, second to none.

Up is entertaining on many levels - a real masterpiece. Kids under 7 probably should not come to this - it has a PG rating for a reason. I was at a full theater without about 50 5-year olds in it for a party -- they were quiet during the film, and did laugh at the obvious funny parts. For anyone age 10 or over, this movie is a "must see" - congrats to Pixar for not letting Disney mess up their creative model.

Loved everything, especially the first 15 minutes to draw you in without much dialogue and with a wonderful music score. It's nice to know that "willful suspension of disbelief" is alive and well with the Pixar group. A joy and a delight for young and old. 3-D is overrated and not really a draw. That's my only criticism. I will want to watch this movie for years to come.

Up has some of the most perfect moments I have seen in any recent film, animated or otherwise. The characters are well-defined and beautifully animated, the plot is both moving and exciting and the relationship between Carl and Russell is very sweet.
This is a true family movie with something for everyone, but small children will miss some of the backstory and emotional depth, and one small child screamed in fright during an action sequence at our showing.
Everybody should watch Up--you will not be disappointed.

This Movie talks about the happy life of one of the main characters in the film from young to old, followed by a with a tragic but natural event. Over time our main character copes with this tragic event and realizes a life long dream to get away from it all, So then his Adventure begins. This movie, has drama and comedy elements in it. Great for the kids, who will need some parental guidance due to the nature of some events that occur.
