The first ten minutes alone of "Up" with the lead character voiced by Edward Asner are valuable lessons in individuality, the power of love, and the eternal aspect of love. These three lessons a child should learn very early in life, that these are qualities he/she will need to know as they live their lives. The animation was excellent, and I never seen a bluer sky. I also enjoyed the realistic characteristics of the little Boy Scout Russell. His concerns over his changing household came across as real-life, not superhuman.

Uhmm.. Pixar has really taken my breath away this year. First Walle, now this. It is touching,mature, and yet still so relatable to the children. I loved all the characters especially Kevin!... The short movie before the film even mesmerized me. Every person I have taken to see this movie LOVED IT, even my pompous boyfriend. Bring who you want, they will thank you for it. DVD buy for sure

Up beautifully delivers with it's combination comedy (jokes the kids and older people will appreciate), adventure (trust me you won't expect what happens next), and lessons we can all stand to learn. There is a really cute animated short before the movie...worth seeing in theatres just for that! Pixar never ceases to amaze with their classic character building and plot solidity-it seems you feel a bond with every character by the end of the movie. Nothing falls short in the animation quality, either. If you are a dog lover, looking for a good movie for the family, needed a good laugh, or even needing a new view on life, Up provides it all! A must see!!!

What a terrific surprise! I took my young daughter thinking it would be a movie just for her! I sincerely enjoyed the movie in its entirety. It is not only an adorable cartoon but a story with a life lesson for all ages! Would recommend it to anyone and definitely 4.5 stars!
