This was a fun and entertaining movie. Sandra Bullock was terrific and such a nice change from other female leads in a romantic comedy. Her facial expressions often say more than her words and that alone can be hilarious. Ryan Reynolds was a great leading man. He definitely held his own against Ms. Bullock. But the real surprise was Betty White. What a spry, and charming woman. I hope she's around for another 90 years. Definitely see this movie with your daughter, mother, and husband. Yes men, you will like this move, if for no other reason that the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.

Saw it with daughter and we both enjoyed it immensely. So many funny lines, we're even thinking about seeing it again. It exceeded both of our expectations even though we are big fans of Sandra Bullock. The end was predictable, but that did not detract at all from our enjoyment. Betty White was a great asset to the movie, too.

If you like Sandra Bullock go see this movie. I think she is very good at physical comedy and there were some gems in this movie. The relationships between all the characters was believable, frustrating as family stuff sometimes is and also, very funny, especially if you remember that you are an observer of the family dynamic. Also, the scenery was to die for. I would LOVE to live here. With that in mind the decisions the characters made was understandable and very involving. All in all, very pleasant movie with funny, funny people.

This movie was extremely funny. It was one that you need to see again because you were laughing so hard that you missed some lines! Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds have great chemistry. They kind of remind me of Spencer and Tracy. Betty White is still one of the funniest women on screen today. I would recommend this movie to everyone!

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds make a great madcap love story in the classic 1940s mold. Its a story of role reversal and recognition. Sandra plays the tough boss who finds she must marry or be deported and makes a deal with her assistant Ryan to promote him and his book if he does. From there the story is predictable but the acting and directing make it totally enjoyable throughout. Betty White is a hoot as the 90 year old Grandma. Its a gentle romantic laugh fest with lots of funny sight gags and awkward situations.

I often rate a movie on was it worth paying theatre price and would I see it again. I'm not a big TV/movie person anymore and so I hate watching stuff that wastes my time or wastes brain space with graphic images I don't need to see. I loved the movie from start to the almost ending. I felt it was left unfinished when we didn't see them tie the knot. How they fell in love was totally believable. The entire cast was fantastic and it was a huge let down that we didn't get to see them prove the "agent" wrong. The little outtakes were great but an actual ceremony would have been even better. The way the movie had me enthralled from the gitgo and then didn't finish the story left me wanting more. I would have given it 5 stars if they had actually gotten married!

Enjoyed the spectacular sceneries in the Alaskan areas. Eventhough the final outcome was decidedly obvious, the development of the relationship between Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds was uniquely suspenseful especially toward the conclusion. The character of Ms Bullock gradually shed all her pretense and revealed a vulnerable and loving woman. Very good story.

Exceptional cast & story turned inane-juvey. Can’t figure out if its a serious story,comedy or frat party. Touches of Hollywood snobbery & frat boy-girl antics. NYC to Sitka, of course displayed as a desolate people barren hicktown. Entertainment: 1-man bumbling,mumbling clown strip show for women & he is also the only city services rep. Walks in “Town” by the characters show them as the only ones on “mainstreet” or even on the docks(in a fishing port!??). Then we have the grandma who does the usual Hollywood goof communal dance with nature. Of course Sandra gets involved with her disco(?) version. Story,cast has great potential, gets off to a good, intriguing start, keeps dragging us into a Hollywood script written by frat boys & girls.

It is a good thing I do not listen to what the critics say about a movie. I like to make up my own mind. I found this to be a fun, light movie with lots of laughs. Me and my BFF saw this movie together. We both loved it. I am a Sandra Bullock and Betty White fan anyway, but this was truly a fun, comical, and lighthearted flick. We laughed through most of it. I loved this movie--the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because it was obvious how it was going to end. But otherwise I love Sandra Bullock and this was the first movie I had seen with Ryan Reynolds that I liked--he was cute and good. Love movies are my thing--and I thought this was a great one! It was funny, romantic, and it was nice to see an "older" leading lady and a "younger" male role instead of the other way around. The aging actresses always seemed to get nudged out for 55 year old men with 25 year old wives--annoying! Go see it, it is worth the $10!

Watched this movie with my wife ... Decent/neat movie. Funny at times, and not too senti - good romantic comedy. Good performances by both stars.
