It was fun to watch. Very funny most of the time. I enjoyed the story with the exception of Betty White faking a heart attack. Kind of a stretch to get father and son to stop fighting. Otherwise, I enjoyed the movie and I would recommend it to a friend.

My wife wanted to see this movie as part of date night. I thought I would give it a chance. I was really surprised at how funny the movie turned out to be. There is a little something for guys and the ladies: Sandra Bullock looks fantastic and my wife loves Ryan Reynolds. Betty White is still hilarious. 4 Stars only because there were some supposed to be funny wacky moments that really weren't that funny, but only lasted for a minute or so. Other than that, fantastic.

Movie was great fun. Not unpredictable, but was done with a fresh approach. The entire cast must have been very grateful for this opportunity, as for some of them, it was, I imagine, a late-in-life nice surprise - to work with quality actors, on a lovely movie, with folks who "get" the ins and outs and subtleties of relationships and humor. Definitely go and see it and, eventually, own it.

I went and saw the sneak preview with a friend, because I like Sandra Bullock and the trailers were hilarious. Sandra is great as she always is in romcoms and she and Ryan have good chemistry. Although knowing where this ride was going to take me, I sure had fun getting there. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds both play refreshingly intelligent, witty and engaging roles, and Betty White's expressions alone often elicit hilarity. Cute movie. Sandra & Ryan have great chemistry, but I felt like the writing or directing missed some opportunities to build the chemistry to a believable level both romantically and in the family relationships. There were lots of laughs and the comedic timing was wonderful. I would love to see Ryan Reynolds in more parts like this - he made a great romantic (or romantic/comedy) leading man! One of the best onscreen kisses I've ever seen comes at the end. Fun movie overall.

I was thoroughly entertained. The script was great and the acting was good. The chemistry on the screen was entertaining, but very good. I wanted to give 4.5 stars but that wasn't an option. All in all, if you want to see a quirky fun movie, this is one to see. I definitely recommend it.

I was dragged to this movie, but I am glad I was. This movie is hillarious!! Betty White was GREAT, and the rest of the cast were as good as you would expect. The writing was top notch and the scenery was magnificent.

I cannot imagine anyone else in these roles. As usual Sandra was at her best and Ryan was the perfect match in this great comedy. The characters the actors portrayed were done perfectly and I will definitely buy the DVD when it becomes available. This is a movie I will want to watch again! I am so glad Sandra decided finally to make this movie, it is among her best! Ryan in my opinion has a great future ahead with his phenominal acting and it was a plus to see some of the more mature great actors in this film. I give this a whopping 10 on my score card.

I went into this movie with my girlfriend expecting a snooze-fest through another lame chick flick. However, I was happily surprised when it turned out to be one of the most hilarious flicks I've seen in a long time. Not only was the comedy very funny, but it wasn't too over-the-top or zany to throw this film into the category of obnoxiousness (like so many other recent "comedies"). Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock have a terrific chemistry onscreen, and their comedic talents certainly emerged here! I highly recommend this movie; especially when considering how brghtly it shines among the recent lack of quality films.
