Honestly, I was afraid this movie would be one of those where you see the previews and all the funny parts are contained within that preview. Boy...was I wrong!! This movie was HILARIOUS! I loved the movie, but they could have shown the two of them spending more time together. Based on what we did see they ended up falling in love based on her hanging out with his mom and grandma, and one good conversation between the two of them. I wanted to see more parts, where you go, see! you're perfect for each other!

The beginning and end of the movie was really good. I believe that the part where they were in Alaska was too short - it didn't really her what his family was really like. She wasn't there when him and his father would get into an argument. It should have shown more family moments. Otherwise it was a really good movie. I was very surprised to find that this movie was cute, witty and absolutely funny. While I love Sandra Bullock, I was not expecting Ryan Reynolds to be as charming or sarcastic as he was in his character. Sandra was just the right amount of stuck-up *itch and avoided being at all unattractive. The nude scene lived up to the hype - absolutely hilarious and both of them look fantastic! I thought Betty White was a great addition to the cast and just lit up the screen. She certainly stole the show during many of her scenes. Overall, really funny, a great date movie, and not a TOTAL chick flick.

You can usually tell what you are getting yourself into when you see a romantic comedy. When Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock team up you can be sure to expect a whole load of witty, sarcastic quips that may get a chuckle out of you, but will hardly have you rolling on the floor with laughter. The stars of this movie seem to have made a pretty good career out of this so why change the formula now? If there is one saving grace for the movie, it is Betty White's role as a flighty, off-beat grandmother who is celebrating her 90th birthday...she is probably the only character worth watching. For any guys reading this, it is a definite chick flick, but, as always, Sandra Bullock plays the smart but socially clueless heroine as well as it can be done. The story centers on her need to avoid deportation by marrying her assistant, played by Ryan Reynolds. Bullock and Reynolds are evidently friends away from acting and the on screen chemistry works from the beginning. They visit his parents home in Alaska and learn about each other and, of course, eventually fall in love. The two are believable together and the film works because of it. If you're going to be dragged, kicking and screaming into a chick flick this summer, make it this one. Funny flick and worth the couple of hours.

This movie was hilarious!!! Love Sandra & Ryan together. I went to a sneak preview and the theater was packed! Everyone in the theater was laughing and most everyone stuck around as the credits ran to see the snipits at the end. Can't wait until it comes out on DVD!

As per usual, Sandra Bullock proves that she is the queen of the romantic comedy. Bullock and Reynolds had a great chemistry. Along with the supporting cast, this movie was top notch in the comedy field. Sandy never disappoints. The Proposal was an overall pleasure and riot to see.
