My wife and I went to see this and really enjoyed it. There are several things to laugh about, a few things to get watery-eyed about, and a lot of beautiful Alaska scenery to enjoy. The chemistry between Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds is great and believable. The supporting cast is good as well. A little different role from what Sandra usually plays. Very enjoyable movie.
Wouldn't take kids to it simply because there is nothing their for them to enjoy out of the movie. There is some explicit language but not a whole lot.

This movie was a new take on an old plot. Reminded me of Picture Perfect with Jennifer Aniston but had a fresh and exciting new spin to it with Bullock at risk of deportation. Ryan Reynolds was the perfect counterpoint for Bullock in a movie with much more depth than he showed in his past movies like Waiting. All in all, I enjoyed the subtle, even if predictable, twists in the age old story of love conquers all.

I like this film very much. Many laughters throughout the film, but also let me think of some deeper issues, such as honesty and family, near the end of the story. The leading actor&actress acted really well, and the music and atmosphere of each scene is nicely designed. It's a comedy, but I don't think it's shallow nor old-fashioned at all; there are some surprise and many funny dialogues, which make this movie a very ideal entertainment. It's a very nice film for audience to laugh out loud, relax, and would not feel it's a waste of time after watching it.
