Sandra Bullock is back in what she does best- Romantic Comedies. Meg Ryan ran her course as the cutsy girl-next-door and spread her wings to drama. Good move but we miss her. Sandra did the same but never had the landing gear down. Here she is in top form and the cast is superb. Betty White still amazes. WOW! This movie was great. I laughed the whole way through, and still for 5 minutes after it ended. The pairing of Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock was genius. They were great in the movie. I am definitley watching it again, and getting the DVD.

I laughed the whole movie! Funny, and kept my attention until the ending. Sandra and Ryan were great together. It was also nice to see the strength of the supporting cast of Mary, Craig, and Betty. As for the ending, I blame the producers--very stupid. I would have taken the movie back to Alaska with a 'Happy Everafter' ending--the producers could have showed how Sandra and Ryan combined their publishing career with Ryan's family business operating between New York and Alaska. Maybe a sequel and keep the same cast!

A pleasant movie that most all will enjoy. Actors are well cast. Loved their fit for the parts - Two Leads, Mother, Grandmother, arrogant editor, ... Funny, sweet, endearing. The only complaint is that the eagle scene could have been changed or deleted because a couple of scenes with Ramone were corny enough. Rest of the comedy is well written and seems plausible enough to be a "real-world movie."

I went to this movie with my husband and a few girl friends and we all loved it! The whole theatre was laughing and clapping through the whole movie! Some great laughs and some really sweet, adorable moments. Nothing too cheesy or scripted. Few movies that I've attended, are truly worth the price of the show, this one however, is the exception. Loaded with comical, and uncomfortable moments, from start, to finish, left me howling with laughter, or sympathetic, since we've all shared most of these plights. Betty White steals the show, but Sandra, and Ryan also share the spot light, very well. There's enough playful banter, and comedy to entertain even the most stubborn, sourpuss! I thought Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds had good chemistry.
Betty White had some good lines - her and Oscar Nuñez (Ramone) out shone Craig T. Nelson and Mary Steenburgen
Somewhat predictable but still a lot of laughs.
Most of the movie was supposed to be set in Alaska, but it was unmistakably shot in the Northeast (RI, MA and ME)
