Denzel at his finest! You won't be disappointed. The villains are villaneous and the good people are good. The action is spread throughout the movie and it does not drag.
Pros great story, great actors

This was a great movie. action packed, powerful story line if you are religious, and filled with suspense. I went in to see another great Denzel movie and came out with something more to think about.

The cinematography and post-apocalyptic scenery was very good, otherwise this movie was disappointing. If you don't like being spoon-fed massive dosages of religion, then I would avoid this movie at all costs. If you're a Denzel Washington fan, then see it only for his performance; he is really good in this role.

This movie was so clever and interesting. It reminds me a little of I am Legend and movies like it where the world is on the cusp of rebirth and the things that become important to move forward. Very interesting...did not see the twist at the end. I would love to see it again.

1st, if Denzel is in it, I'm going to see it. His performance made the movie, his acting prowess in this role made me forget about the stereotype (for lack of a better word) of every other movie he has been in. Denzel WAS Eli and Eli WAS Denzel. 2nd, The plot was great, the story was great and Gary Oldman was great. Will the ending bring us a sequel??

This movie excels at many levels. Best thing about it is that you are never quite sure what is going on until close to the end. Could never guess the ending. What a great plot! Denzel's performace is stellar. Granted, the violent scenes are intense and graphic, a la par with the movie "300", but there are not an excessive number nor an endless number of them (like in other movies). There are plenty of these scenes to keep you really interested. Best part of the movie if the message, which is surprising to me, considering it is a Holywood movie. Like my son said: Is that what you call a Warrior of God? Exactly. I found the movie uplifting.

This movie was great!! Was clueless the whole time about denzels character's .... Loved the message. Gary Oldman is the perfect Bad Guy for any movie. Just a damn good movie.

I loved this movie because of the meaningful message throughout. (Though it was graphic and the language offensive at times) So often we take our everyday resources for granted. Most of all we take "The Book" and it's availability to us for granted.
This movie challenged me to read "The Book" more and "Hide it's word in my heart"!:)
