My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The 8 year old giggled her way through it, while the adults found humor as well. Even the 12 year old had a good time, and the 3D effects were to thank for that. The theater had a problem at first, and for the first 10 minutes the 3D wasn't "turned on". Once they figured out the error, it was a world of difference. It was fantastic! Cute characters, lots of action, good storyline.

The 3D version was a nice extra touch for exciting the grand daughter. The artwork and sound were excellent. The over all experience for a 6 year girl was very very exciting and educational as well with the story line

The sad thing is that this is a fun movie. The bad thing is that it's 3D. The 3D part isn't nearly worth the extra $3.00 they charge for it. It's a fun movie for kids, but it's just not worth the 3D option.

Usually sequels,especially sequels upon sequels are spread thin on tired character development and story line. But this third Ice Age installment is actually refreshing and action packed. The introduction of swashbuckler "Buck" is a welcome addition to the Ice Age crew, the scenery and special effects are absolutely spectacular. And the movie doesn't drag out unnecessarily as sequels tend to do. The humor is light and fresh with the welcome infusion of adult directed jokes. Highly recommended amid the mess of some of the other "blockbuster" summer sequels.

We seen this movie in 3-d. It was very cool! Really just another boring story of sid imo, BUT the animation is great. The Dinosaurs are very cool, and saved the movie. The kids really liked Buck better that the original cast. The acorn/squirrel thing seemed a little too much for me. After the movie was over, I was surprised that it was as short as it was. $12 bucks a pop is really pricey, but the kids loved it, and it is well done.. and you will find something to laugh at. Go see it.

The 3-D experience was outstanding. My husband and I took our 5 year old and we were all very impressed. We decided that this was the best of all 3 Ice Age movies. We loved how the squirrel was throughout the movie not just at the beginning trying to get the acorn. We highly recommend this to everyone. We are a Christian family and want to watch only clean, family movies and this was on the top of our list. It was overall the best movie ever.

I took my grandson's to this movie and I was not really excited because I felt the previous ones were just so-so, but this one was great. Funny, a little scary,& cuddly all rolled into one. Im not sure about the 3d glasses tho. My 3 year old got sick and I was feeling a little nauseaus and when we took the glasses off everything went away. Next time we will just do the regular version.

I have loved all of the ICE AGE Films. The 3rd one is definitely fun though not as great as the 1st one. I have to admit though, animation films are fantastic but they are becoming less for kids and more for adults these days. I understand the animators want to appeal to a broader audience but the trouble with that is some of the material goes right over a kids head. I am more likely to recommend this film to adults and families with slightly older kids. Oh and this is not a Pixar film. I don't know why people are assuming that.....

Still cute characters but predictable plot, enjoyable enough on a rainy summer day. Animation always top notch, 3D version was fun, especially during chase scenes. My 11-year old thinks she is getting a bit old for the series, finding it a bit too preachy on "family values". Squirrel is a more visible character in this version.

The lovable creatures are back for another adventure. This time they wander into a new world under the ice where dinosaurs roam and they have to contend with dangerous lizards, especially one called Rudy. Ray Romano is Manny the Mammoth, Queen Latifah voices Ellie the Mammoth who is pregnant and gives birth; John Leguizamo is Sid, Denis Leary is Diego the aging tiger, and Simon Pegg is Buck who leads them through the world of dinosaurs. This is a cartoon aimed at kids. There are a couple of adult level jokes, but enough cuteness to keep the adults barely smiling too. Rated PG for a bit of crude humor.
