I took my grandbabies to see this movie and I enjoyed it more than they, I do believe! The 3D graphics brought the characters to life, the landscapes, a journey through the deepest forest or highest mountains and the dialogs, natural and flowing. The enjoyment factor, based on the tale, flow and length of the movie, and buy-in of the audience, is very high. I'm ready to go see it again! "Who's ready to go to the movies?"

My first 3D experience -- I loved it! It adds SO much realism! It took a few minutes before I was able to forget that I had the 3D glasses on, but after that, the movie was good enough--and exciting enough--that I was able to completely concentrate on the movie. My only real complaint about the 3D effect is that it does darken up the movie considerably.
I loved the closeness of the relationships between the characters in this one. All of the characters were so much more expressive than I remember from the other two movies.
Of course, the animation was awesome. Detailing on physical attributes is becoming SO intricate, as is facial expression and body language.

It had lots of Lucasfilm elements from both "Star wars" and "Indiana Jones" and I loved it's ending! That part with the lava was good and overall it had great acting, a great story, director, and set of visual effects. It was An A+ but my 4th favorite movie and i still think Indiana Jones and the last crusade is Much Better.

My two boys, 7 and 9, and I enjoyed this, and we all liked it better than the first two Ice Age films. What's to like more? Best of all was the choice to weave the nut-hunting critter Scrat throughout the entire film. The hilarious opening shorts in the other two made the actual films—more plot-bound, less amusing—feel like lengthy denouement. Sid's funny in small doses, annoying in large ones, and the film benefits from his being absent for much of it. The colorful dino world breaks the cold, visual monotony of the other (white white white!) Ice Age films. Otherwise, intangibles ... we just liked it. I was taking the boys to indulge them but not in the mood myself, so this film was a pleasant and enjoyable surprise.

I was not very impressed with the 3D effects. The script is also not as interesting and funny as the first 2 in the sequel. The movie is not worth watching in 3D. 3D did not add any value to the movie.I would advise anyone to watch the movie in regular (non 3d) version. Not worth the pain of wearing the 3D glasses for the effects presented.

1st movie I've seen in 3D so I was expecting more visual effects, kinda disappointed on that front but the storyline and character interactions were very well done. The whole family enjoyed it and it kept in line with the previous Ice Age movies in regards to humor going above a child's head but not too bad. Hope this is is the last in the series as there seems to be nothing left...except for maybe Sid actually having a real relationship and having kids.

We took our 7yo and we are HUGE fans of both 3D and Ice Age. The 3D was not nearly as good as I had hoped. And, while the movie was pretty good, I found myself wishing it would move along. The other 2 had way more laughs for the adults and the quality of the writing was not as good in this one. I'm glad to have found it was the same lovable characters and actors. My daughter loved it! Overall, had I not gone on family discount night, I would have been disappointed had I spent close to $50 to see this at full price. I will tell my friends it's worth seeing but save the money and just wait to rent it. They just can't beat the first of the 3 Ice Age Movies and I think this one was the least favorite.

My wife & I usually rent movies and watch them on the home theater system, but the 3-D and IMAX experiences intrigue us.
The new Ice Age is a fun movie and it is truly amazing how detailed CGI is these days. Putting it in 3-D definitely enhances that whole experience. Although, the in-your-face 3-D effects could have had a little more pop.
We liked the storyline and characters. It took their lives to the next natural step.
We usually try to guess the voices of the characters in the animated movies. Since it had been a while since we saw the last one, I could only guess two (Ray Romano & Queen Latifah).
Overall, it is an entertaining flick that I would recommend to others, especially in 3-D.

Great movie, kept us all interested the entire show. The 3D effects were fun---felt like we were in the movie too.

I am an adult and I laughed throughout the whole movie! It was amazing laugh after laugh after laugh. I can't believe that it is actually good cause usually when there's a movie first one is good and then each sequel is worse and worse. Ice Age is not like that and they have a lot of brand new ideas in it. Great for any age

My sons (9 & 11) wanted to see Ice Age 3D. We have seen all the others and the added 3D effect was interesting but not necessary to the story. Both boys liked the new character, Max, but were bothered that all the familiar characters could speak, but not the dinosaurs that were beneath the icy surface, except for Max.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I didn't really like this movie. There wasn't much going on as far as the script was concerned. I think there are times when you need to stop making sequels. I think very young children would like it but other than that it wasn't too funny or interesting.

Great movie for kids! Gentle, appropriate and throughtful with the right amount of action and giggle laughs. My nephew and son (7 and 11) loved it. Compared to all the other inappropriate stuff out there right now, it was refreshing to see. I recommend it on a hot day when kids are restless and you need to get them busy.
