I thought the "mild rude humor" was inappropriate for a kid's movie. If you want me to show for these things with my grandson, you need a script that adults will enjoy. My seven-year grandson thought the movie was "ok."
I took him to see "Up" and if you need more clarification as to my review, please watch that movie. I'll make sure it's a Pixar movie the next time I take him. "Dawn" had a lame script, no plot to speak of and aside from the 3d effects, no redeeming value. "Squirrel!"

We loved this movie. My 5 yr old was engaged the entire time and got all the jokes - laughed his little heart out. Perfect length for that age attention span. Fun for the grown-ups, too!

after ice age 1 and 2, expectations were high for this film, but unfortunately they were not met. the film bounced along ok, but i wouldn't say there were any particularly memorable parts. the weasel character was just annoying although he had the one good line in the whole movie about the 'chasm of doom'. i think these animations are so clever and i love 3d, but no, i wouldn't recommend this to my friends. the film i would recommend, which was the silliest and funniest film i've seen in ages is land of the lost!

To be honest with you, I liked Ice Age 1 and 2 better. This last Ice Age was OK, but did not live up to the high quality of the previous Ice Ages. I think more thought and creativity were put into the previous movies, than in Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Very entertaining movie for both children and adults. I would recommend the movie. The only advice I would give is that the 3D effect isn't at all what I would expect...I've seen much better. If a theater near you has the same movie without the 3D for a cheaper ticket or you just can't get into the theater with the 3D version, I would say that you really wouldn't be missing anything. With that being said, the movie was excellent.

Well, I thought I was going to have to borrow a child to go to this one. I soon discovered the majority of the audience was "over21". The characters are a great mix and the dialog very entertaining. Queen Latifa and Ray Romano are a splendid duo. I'm not even sure kids will understand 50% of this movie. The 3D is amazing.

took 4 kids to see this movie in $$3D$$. The 3D was awful, this movie did not need to be shown in 3D. We end up watching the rest of the movie with our glasses off. Kids said it was OK, cute, funny. But I myself could have waited till it comes out on dvd. I didn't really think it was all that funny. All the funny parts were shown during the trailer previews. So you already know what was coming. No other new funny scenes. After we left the theater, kids didn't have much excitement talking about it. Like they did with Night at the Museum or Transformers 2.

We saw this for my 9 year old's bday and all the kids loved it. Saw it in 3D. Adults thought it was cute too. Lots of play with Scrat and Scratte, which i thought would be corny and overdone, but it was really funny, esp. for adults. My 4 year old loved it too.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The kids loved it, ages 7 and 8. It was mildly entertaining for me. They threw in a lot of the squirrel chasing the nut, which was fun.
