This animated film is an instant classic, for children and adults alike. All of us laughed all the way through. In style, it goes back to the animated-puppet style of Eastern European animation of the 1960s. Proof that you can make great animation outside of the Disney/Pixar school, if you have ideas and talent. Great visuals, great voice-acting, great music, great story and pacing. Those who got bored and fell asleep do not know what they missed.

While my wife and 11 year old son seemed to mildly enjoy this movie, I was so bored I left after 30 minutes and went into another theater for 45 minutes to see part of "The Blind Side" (which I will now pay to see the rest of).

I went with my 25 year old daughter and 32 year old son. It was a near-perfect bit of escapism for a holiday week. The story was a classic moral tale with delightfully developed characters. It made us think, and laugh, a nice combination.
