Went in with low expectations,,,,mostly because of Nick Cage's recent body of work. This movie was a pleasant surprise. It had pathos, action, originality and even a moral. Cage was excellent. Best we've seen him in along time. I recommend this action flick. You will not be disappointed as long as you are not expecting something beyond the genre.

WOW...........Can't believe the negative comments!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I both thought it was an excellent movie. The action was just right.(not over or under done) It was both exciting and thrilling. To the people who were disapointed in Nicks lack of personality........people it was the role he played !!!! Hellooo. A couple of scenes I had to turn away. Only thing I did not like was the ending. I give it a strong 5 stars. NOT a waste time.

I like Nicholos Cage but his talents were truly wasted in this movie. When the action finally started in the movie my husband and I were actually thinking about going home and watching one of his better movies. You pretty much knew he was going to die when he took the chinese kid as a student. The body count was high but unrealistic on the shooting scenes. I didn't like the ending and was truly happy when this movie was over.

This is not one of the best movies ever, so if you only see a few movies a year, and want to see only the best, skip this one. If, on the other hand, you see many movies a year, as I do, it is worth seeing.

Movie drama wasnt good enough. Doesnt make sense that two kids try to still from him when he was with his girlfriend and he use the guns instead of the martial arts that he know pretty well. Poor ending.
