Old Dogs got negative reviews from the professional critics, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It could have been funnier in parts, but still, there were plenty of laugh-out-loud scenes with Travolta and Williams. It had all of the elements of a good comedy - characters, situations, a bit of drama and a feel good ending. I highly recommend Old Dogs.

My wife and I went to see this movie and thought it was hilarious. We really needed good laughs and this provided plenty of them. Ignore the snobby movie critics...this is a simple, funny movie with a happy ending....which is exactly what a DISNEY movie is supposed to be.

Quality comedic actors team up for a movie that is very predictable and not all that dog-gone funny. I did laugh out loud a few times - thus the 2 star rating. I love Robin Williams and John Travolta. That being said, this movie was very, very slow. Robin Williams played a dry character with no sense of humor, which did not let his talent shine. John Travolta was supposed to play an older role but he still looks great for his age. The jokes pointed at him as being a "grandpa" didn't make any sense. Anyway, I was disappointed. The kids liked it but don't pay full price for this one.

Ok, so the critics trashed this movie. Who cares? It was funny, fast-paced, and fun for the whole family. Was it a bit predictable? Of course. But it wasn't a suspense drama, so it's ok if you kinda knew what was going to happen. The audience was laughing out loud at some of the scenes, and Travolta, Williams, and Green were perfect in their roles. See it alone, with a friend, loved one, or kids. They'll love it.
