This is a great movie. I don't go to the movies often but I needed a good laugh. I certainly got what I came for. These two actors were so very funny together. I love both of them but never though of Travolta as a comedian. They both were terrific.

Enjoyed seeing two really good actors play roles that worked well together. The slapstick jokes and funny blunders kept the kids interested (8 and 11) and the story kept moving for the adults to stay interested. Finishing up with a happy ending was a great touch for the Holiday Season, but would work well for any time.

There are laughs to be had in this nice family film, but the exceptional talents of Robin Williams, John Travolta, and Seth Green are wasted in this very weak script. None of them get an opportunity to do what we all expect of them.
With that said, there is nothing wrong with the film. Its very average, mindless, and cute. Its a fine film to take kids to. They would appreciate it. A few of the sight gags are very entertaining. The problem is that they are all in the previews. If you've seen them, you know the whole film.

I tell ya, I don't know what the people who rave about this movie are talking about. This has got to be the worst movie I have seen in a long time. Travolta in NOT a comedian and Williams was just not great. I don't think the movie was well made, even though the plot and idea of the movie was understandable, I was not impressed. for pure comedy affect, I have'nt laughed out loud this much at a movie in a while. Yes many of the laughs were predictable, and for those who think it was for kids only, I don't get that at all. Like I have always said, movies should be made with the purpose of entertaining the viewer and allowing a brief escape from the sometimes cold and cruel reality of everyday life. I enjoyed the interaction of 2 of my favorite actors an constant laughter with the antics provided.
The theme of realizing you have children you did not know about (where is the DNA testing) for 7 years (the mother didn't call?) is not realistic, but the comedy behind the circumstance is great.

My husband and I just saw this movie and it was great entertainment. Funny, without being gross, which we like at our age. Would recommend this to any audience if you just want a good laugh. John and Robin both deliver, and the rest of the cast is spot on as well.
