Out of the seven HP movies that have come out, this is hands-down the best one. It combines the best from all the previous films. I can't wait to see the last movie, and to see how they top what I just saw.

I really enjoyed the movie. The special effects were amazing! Better than they have been in the past movie. I reread the book right before I went and the movie followed it pretty well, although they changed it around somewhat. Although this movie was good, for some reason I enjoyed the earlier movies more even though I liked the later books more than the earlier books. I wish someone would tell the director of this movie to PLAY THE THEME SONG for longer than two seconds in the beginning! But other than that I think it did a really good job portraying what happened in the book. At times the acting was a little cheesy (Rupert and Daniel) but Emma Watson was excellent and all the other actors were great except for the dude who played Luna's father. Definitely go see it!

I have my previous favorite movie, but this one gives it a run for the money. The special effects were fabulous. At times I felt like I was part of the movie. It didn't seem like I was sitting there for 2 1/2 hours. I can't wait for the next one.

I would say this is one the better Potter movies. Saying that it was good is huge, as my opinion of most of the other Potter movies is really low. I took my two daughters, ages 10 and 7, and they really enjoyed it. There was one part that I felt was really inappropriate, when it didn't need to be, but other than that, it was good.

This movie was absolutely fantastic, the acting is done so well, and everyone MUST see it. The only part I didn't like was the ending, but thats only because its supposed to make you get ready for part 2! Go buy your tickets, and possibly bring some tissues, (depending if you are a true hp fan that is) This movie keeps you on your toes, making you laugh, cry, and getting you excited for whats next.! Well done, and can't wait until July 2011!(:

THIS WAS THE BEST HARRY POTTER MOVIE EVER!!! I will be watching it several more times, can't wait to watch it in IMAX!!! Great effects, kept to everything in the book, no weird stuff like last movie where the Weasly house burned down.... It was suspenseful, made you laugh, your heart break, and want to go out and hex Bellatrix Lastange. I would recommend it to EVERYONE!!!

Stayed true to the book, but did a good job of limiting the camping scenes. The action was great and going to the midnight premiere was so worth it! I LOVED it.

As fans of the series we know and lookforward to the retelling of the book. But we insist on it being told in a logical manner which includes continuity. Even accepting the additions the producers though were essential, the action was choppy and confusing. For that I would give it low marks. However, the cinematography is a work of art! Seeing the actors come of age and work thier craft is a pleasure. It appears that the "suits" have decided that this is an interim piece in the series and forgotten that fans need "back story" and not just a feble attempt to get to the good stuff.

Had read that they weren't going to be at Hogwart's and thought that I would miss that. I really didn't. Some parts made me laugh, more parts made me cry, and I was always on the edge of my seat. Thought the ending was rather abrupt, but it definately makes you want to -- no, HAVE TO -- see the next movie. I will be one of the first in line again!

Do yourself a favor and read the Wikipedia entry for "Horcrux" before going to see this movie. I must say, this movie is a little long and some of the scenes feel stretched to stay true to the book. They didn't stay true to the books in the previous movies, so why now? Does stretching the two movies to 150 minutes justify making two movies out of the final book? Well, that felt like the agenda to me before the movie ended. That said, there's plenty of excitement in the movie to enjoy. And, if you've invested the time (and $$$) to see the others, see this movie and let's hope that there's a huge pay-off with the real finale!!!

I aw Deathly Hallows Part 1 last night with my teenage son to whom I read every word of every HP book way back when. Scenes and settings were moody and iconic; I liked the movie's focus on and character development of Harry, Ron and Hermione as young adults, carrying forward their personal strengths and weaknesses. Settings in the Ministry of Magic were lavish and chilling but the escapes seemed easy and improbable. The animation sequence was beautiful and a nice visual relief from the dark blue/grey of the rest of the film. After waiting so long for the next HP installment, the abrupt, unresolved ending was a huge disappointment. Obviously the filmmakers couldn't issue a five-hour movie or two movies at once, but still, this movie ended up coming across more like a HP travelogue without much forward progress on the overall story. I might recommend waiting on this movie and renting it just before seeing the next one. It was an elaborate let-down. Said my son: "that was a fail."

This movie was very well put together. I was impressed by how much they put into the movie. I was scared they were going to have to leave a lot out, but they didn't at all. All of the major details were in the movie and the story wasn't altered at all. My only problem was with the acting. Emma Watson and Rupert Grint definitely stepped up in this movie and did really well. Although, Daniel Radcliffe is just awkward to watch and makes the movie seem rough. I wasn't impressed at all with his acting. There was a lot of humor in this movie that helped break up some of the monotony that could have been there with the overall dark themes of the movie and the travelling the Harry, Ron, and Hermione go through. But overall the movie was very good and I'm really glad I went to see it at midnight!

Great following of the book. Held me for the whole 2.5 hours. Harry, Ron and Hermione really kept the plot together and their acting was great. I have taken my Grandson to all of the Harry Potter Movies and it is some what sad that after July 2011 there will be no more Harry Potter Movies.
We can't wait to see Part 2. The ending of part 1 really set the stage for the last of the series.

Deathly Hallows is by far the best movie in the entire series. It was intense, funny, and brought me to tears. The ending really left the viewer wanting more. I cannot wait until part 2! I would definitely recommend this movie to all Harry Potter fans and anyone who wants to see a great movie!

I loved the movie. There were some parts though that were changed from the book unnecessarily and that will always bug me when the screen director could've left it the same. I think it led up well to where the battle is going to begin in part 2.

Went to see it opening night and enjoyed it all the way through! I was worried about it being so long but I knew that the story would be fantastic and the cinematography is excellent! They followed the story relatively well and everything played up beautifully for a terrific ending! It was hard to leave cause I wanted to see the second half but I would recommend it to anyone who LOVES HARRY POTTER!

This movie was by far the darkest and most action packed movie of the series so for. The did a great job sticking as close to the book as they could and the actors all brought out the emotion of their characters better than they ever have. Can't wait for part 2.

Great directing and camera work-probably the best in the series. Good family experience. The actors are aging out of the series and it is time to wrap the series it up. I am anxious for part two. it is worth the price of the ticket-but don't skip the book!
