Fantastic! I don't know what's wrong with some of the critics -- the whiners who are still harping on the book being split in to two movies, supposedly because the studio wants to cash in. I for one am overjoyed that they have taken their time and are remaining so faithful to the book. If the movie seems slow to some, then so too the book. What's with the need for action and instant gratification? We've waited so long to see the outcome, let's savor the journey. A great contribution to the suite.

This installment of the Potter franchise was in keeping with its predecessors. Without first reading Deathly Hallows viewers will not be disappointed. Exiled from Hogwarts, Harry, Hermione and Ron resonate with the scenery, plot and emotional content in this episode. This penultimate tranche lends impetus to a much anticipated tumultuous finale.

I confess I've not yet read the novels, but I have seen all of the films and I found this to be one of the very best. Very exciting and very well-acted. Just an overall good time at the movies. Very much looking forward to this summer's grand finale.

This was a super movie. Kept you on the edge of your seat during the whole time even though I had read the book. If you have followed all the Harry Potter movies and/or books right along this will be a great experience. Not so great if it is your first. You really need to understand what has gone before. When the movie ended (but not really as it is only part I) the entire theater went "Oooh, not yet!" Can't wait for the rest.

The story moved better than we heard it had. The plot seemed easy to follow after seeing the others so often. I would only recommend the move to those who have seen the others but it was excellent.

Great movie, some left the show early (it was a very late show), a bit dark(compared to previous parts, but they have been getting there) with the characters being a bit older and things in life seems more "real" dealing with so many of life's issues of growing up- it is great. Keeps the viewer going the entire movie- excellent can't wait for part 2

As Harry Potter movies go this was as I say little disappointing. The whole movie you were waiting to get to a plot, a reason for the movie and it just did not come. It sets the stage for the finale in part 2 but as a stand alone movie I was slightly disappointed. Still had the great Harry Potter characters in it and great effects!

As the series matures so has it ability to depend on the fundementals of script, acting and subtle cinemetography and less on special effects and humor. The three main characters demonstrate the necessary increased maturity while retaining their core characters without needing to be childish in doing so.
The neice that I took as a child to the earlier movies was not ready for a childrens movie this time and was not dissappointed.

Most Harry Potter movies are just alright compared to the books, but this film was so much more close to the book then any of the prior films which makes it all the better. I thought this movie was amazing and is ranked amongst my favorites for sure. Can't wait until the last one comes out!! =)

It was one of the better Harry Potter movies. My husband and I both enjoyed it very much. I am a grandmother "Potter nut", I have read each book several times and will always love them. The animated sequence while Hermione read the story was outstanding. I liked the director's choice of small scenes to cover a lot of territory and the stark landscapes were breathtaking.

This was amazing! This movie is not for kids, but I would recomend it to anyone else. I read all the books and was very happy with the movie. It was slightly darker then the previous ones but it definitely had it's funny and sad moments, and it goes along with the book well.
I have heard some people complain there was no climax or anything but unless you are doing a report on this and you need to wright that down, it won't matter. Besides it's so good you will not even notice. Go see it and also watch the rest or you will be missing an experience of a life time!

I loved this one. It was a bit much in some scenes though. The making out scene was not needed at all. I hate that they take children's books and movies and add sex to them. Most might not see that as sex but I wouldn't want my 13 year old seeing that. They DID NOT NEED TO BE NAKED. As always the characters were great and the action was too!

This was an intense movie as I figured it would be. Great special effects as well. However, it's not the best Potter movie I've seen. It was a little redundant in the middle and too exclusive on the three main characters. It's a bummer that the Hogwarts School was left out.
