It is really cool to see the progression of the movies and the actors over the years. The movies have only gotten better with time. This is a fine example of that. First of all the movie is visually stunning. The effect are top notch and the acting is superb. The studio is really putting a lot into this movie. For people who don't like the idea of two parts, it helps the movie. They can fit more of the book since it is broken on. I saw they did a good job of keeping true to the book. A lot of the people leaving the theater were saying that it was just how they pictured it. I think of all the books and movies this one even including part two really show how hard it is for the three friends. It really captures how alone they are in this huge fight. Some of the people in the theater were crying. It is a must see if your a Harry Potter fan and if not it is a really good entertaining movie, you wont fell bad after watching it.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 1 is the second best in this series (with Prisoner of Azkaban being my favorite). I highly recommend anyone to see it. It stands alone, while doing a fairly good job to sticking to the book storyline.

It was even better than the last one. Did not rely upon special effects, the actors really had to do a lot more acting in this one. I cannot wait for Part 2 to come out. I'll be taking my son to this in the theaters.
BTW, I totally loved all the others.

I was rereading the book after seeing the movie and some of the lines from the book are in the movie as well. Part 1 does a great job in buidling the suspense and introducing the characters.
The ending was a perfect lead into Part 2 which I am really now looking forward to seeing. Out of all the HP movies, this one does the best to follow the book.

The movie was, as the title says, simply brilliant. It was more aimed to people that have read the book than any of the other movies, and I enjoyed that. There are many details from the book that are included :) and Ron is given a rare chance to shine.

This was a great movie. It lived up to my expectations very much so. I personally wouldn't recommend this movie for younger children though. It's a little more graphic than the past Harry Potter movies. Just a warning to parents.

I will admit I was a little disappointed with this one. They made this movie into two parts - perhaps because it was too much for only one movie, but really, not enough for two! Still enjoyable with some dull places occasionally.

This movie, with the exception of Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets, followed the book more closely than the other movies have. At times, it felt as if I was in an action thriller. It definitely left you with the desire to see the next installment...NOW!!

I've read all the books and seen all the movies. This one is my favorite. No added scenes for dramatic affect that did not exist in the book, and a few removals of less important moments so its not a 10 hour movie. Excellent job by the screne writer. I highly recomend it. Only problem now is having to wait for the next movie.

This chapter in the Harry Potter franchise was by far one of the best. It did a wonderful job of going into a bit more detail from the book where many of the other films just simply didn't have time. I would highly recommend it, though it may not be for the younger crowd. My son is 9 and he enjoyed it, but this is a much darker part of the series so some of the content may be overwhelming to those younger fans.

I've read all the books and seen all the movies with my daughter and I believe that this one is by far the worst one yet. I had thought that the Half-Blood Prince was the worst but this one has taken over.
I thought it jumped around way too much. Things we mentioned that you would never know about unless you read the books.
But, I think that the worst part of it all for me was that I felt the acting was the worst. Everything seemed to be forced. It didn't seem to come as easy as it had with the first three. It seemed to me that they were just doing this to get it over with. And not just the three main actors but also some of the other supporting characters.
I would NOT recommend it. However, that's just my opinion. My daughter thought it was great - and that's her opinion. So I guess what it comes down to is your own take on the movie.

I felt that this Harry Potter movie was the best one yet! They out them themselves, i feel that for once the movie was equal in awesomeness to the book. I was just a little angry that some parts in the movie were either not long enough or true. Like for example when Ron gave Harry a spare wand, how could Harry use it. In the book it clearly states you must defeat a wizard or witch in order to use their wand. I also thought this movie had more action than dialogue. I loved how in this movie it always kept me at the edge of my seat. Even though i read the book, I was still surprised at some parts in the movie. Overall though it was excellent !
