There was everything to like about this movie. The calm before the storm that comes in the last movie is not necessarily correct, but I am anxious to see the last movie. It will be hard to wait.

So, Daniel Radcliffe still can't act. Everyone else did a fantastic job, though. I'd give it 5/5 if the ending weren't so 'NO, WTF, WHY ARE YOU ENDING IT THERE' but considering it's a two part movie, they did a good job.
Some added scenes were a bit.... yeah. Unappreciated. The beginning was really excellent though, and every scene with house elves was fantastic. My expectations were unrealistically high, I'll admit, and I'm a cheapskate so I didn't feel like I got my ten dollars worth. Maybe about eight dollars worth.
And producers, I see what you did there. Making us pay for two tickets. I don't mind though, because it seems like it'll be worth it to get a movie more equivalent with the books than most movies are.
I didn't watch it in 3-D ( I think it's available in 3-D) but it would have been great in 3-D, I believe.

This movie will satisfy the thirst of those who have read the books and are fans of Harry Potter! Even if you have read the book and know what is coming, you will still be jumping in surprise at a few scenes!

it was a very good movie. Definatly the darkest of the series. One thing that could have improved is that it could have followed the book more. The comedy was helpful but sometime over welming. Definatly one of my favorites.

Of course the book is better! I can't help but compare the movie to the book. There were a lot of compromises-some were obviously necessary for the movie and some I wondered why they changed it so much. The movie was great--I will definitely purchase it...but I was a little disappointed.

The best acting yet in Harry Potter movies!
Daniel, Emma and Rupert's acting was right up there with the seasoned actors.
Suitably dark, this movie not only had us on the edge of our seats but also made me jump several times.

With action from the first moment this Potter movie shows maturity of character and special effects that mirrors the coming of age of the main characters. The dialogue was the finest of the Potter series and the development of the plot closely followed the book.

I saw this movie last night, I just wanted to say I was entertained through out the whole movie and I'm not even a big Harry Potter Fan, but I like the movies and this was the best of out the bunch so far. I can't wait till Part 2, sucks it won't come out until July.

I had to watch all previous 6 movies in a matter of days in order to be ready for this one's premiere. I found the previous 6 to be somewhat of a letdown. I really enjoyed Deathly Hallows Part 1. The characters are away from Hogwarts and it has a more "adult" feel that I was looking for. It does have some slow parts, which certainly affects the pace of the film. A definite see!

I was first of all delighted that we were seated an hour before the movie even started. (12:06 show) so, no waiting our in the hallway! I LOVE AMC 20 Livonia!!! We had plenty of time to get snacks, no long lines, then the preshow entertainment (people dressed up like the actors). Then the BEST part of all!!!
The Movie was one of the best I've seen yet! Very close to the actual book (unlike so many) good action, excellent thrills! Definately worth the wait, can't wait for part 2!!!

This movie was great. As a very big fan of the movies and reader of most of the books (including the Deathly Hallows), I thought this movie was excellent. My boyfriend, who has seen each of the movies a couple times and has never read any of the books, also thought the movie was great.
Unlike others who thought it was slow, I thought it was fairly action-packed as compared to some of the other Harry Potter movies, because there were more SIGNIFICANT things that happened during this movie (more danger, etc).
This movie was for the fans, not for critics or people who don't know the movies/books well. It did not exclude much from the book, which is in striking contrast to the other movies that left out significant and important scenes and details (such as the Half Blood Prince, which left out the entire battle scene after Dumbledore's death, as well as other significant details needed to understand what was going on).
See it! If you like Harry Potter and have seen all of the movies, you cannot miss out on this one! If you aren't too familiar with the series, then you might not be as impressed.

Absolutely loved it. There was something for everyone; had action, drama, and even some comedy. Stayed very true to the book only some small changes here and there. It will leave you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next one. The only awful part is knowing that there is only one more.

I thought this movie was slow... really, really slow. Not much happened. The only saving grace, if there was one, is that it did generate suspense. But not that much.
Just slow. And boring. Maybe the next one will be the kicker. I hope so. Up until now, I've enjoyed the series.

This is probably my favorite Harry Potter movie so far. As an adult reader of the series I was pleased with how the movie followed along with the book. There are some things that were left out or changed, but that's to be expected. It made me laugh, get teary eyed, jump a couple of times and most of all, it made me wish for more! It left off at a perfect place which was very important to me. All in all, if you are a HP fan, its a must see!
