Great movie once again. Shocking twists and turns, for those of us who haven't read the books that is. I enjoyed the fact that I really "didn't see that coming". Looking forward to Part 2.

This was a great movie, a bit darker than the other movies. Not sure that this is appropriate for small children, but definitely worth seeing on the big screen. Looking forward to part 2.

Great movie, I cannot wait to see the 2nd part. I will have to catch with the other Harry Potter movies. My daughters just starting watching the series and it was great to experience this one with them in the theater. I loved the special effects.

It was good, BUT it had barely any action and was basicly all talking with the usual drama. Went to see it with my boyfriend and we both LOVE all their movies. This one was just making both of us yawn a bit! Actually, now that I recall, there was a group of about 7 kids that came together between ages 10-16 boys and girls. All of them left in the middle-end. (ALL OF THEM!) It didn't get to the point until the end (which was boring) It's also a 2 PART movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO DON'T BOTHER! JUST GO SEE THE SECOND HALF!!!! Unless you like listening to Harry, Ron, and Amani conversate and argue............sigh...........yawn........ i'm getting bored just thinking about what the plot was-

To me the movie was just ok. I personally thought it was great the script followed the book very closely. But, there wasn't a lot of excitement or action, it's especially boring for people who know the book really well.

I was so excited to go see this movie. I am a very big Harry Potter fan. I've read all the books and seen all the movies. I was not disappointed with the first part of the Deathly Hallows. I was a little taken aback by the way they handled some of the happenings, but I thought the movie was a fairly accurate representation of the book. I especially liked the way that they handled Dobby's rescue. I was worried that it wouldn't live up to the book, but it was perfect. I can't wait to see the next film.

This movie was excellent for the most simplistic reason: IT FOLLOWED THE BOOK!! It's kind of sad to think about what could have been done with the other movies had they stuck to the J.K. Rowling version to begin with. I mean the book didn't garner millions of readers worldwide because it was okay. Why up until now they chose to take such creative license is beyond me. But if you're a die hard Harry Potter fan that has stuck with the movies in vain hope of seeing her vision on the big screen you will finally be rewarded.

This movie was pathetic. There was no flow from scene to scene. If I hadn't read the book I wouldn't have had a clue what was going on. There were way too many details left out and I'm not sure why. Part 1 covered 2/3 of the book. It could have included more details and stopped at the half-way point and the finished product would have been much better.

Movie is well done and definitely a must see. Some parts were not as gripping as the same scenes in the book but that can be said about any movie. Overall this movie has action and is a must see as it sets up Part 2 which will bring it all together. One of my favorites of the series.

oh my god! it was amazing i saw it yesterday and i want to see it again right away! scary yet funny and they actually got most of the details from the book. But they did seem to realize they made a mistake by not mentioning bill wesley in the sixth one so they kind of stuck him in there badly. but it was the best harry potter movie by far! way better then the sixth one (which was horrible!) and i cant wait until the second half of it comes out!!

I knew that the movie was going to be good, it was better than that, it was great. The ending however, was a HUGE cliffhanger, and to wait until July is gonna kill me.
I would say to anyone who's a Harry Potter fan to see it - and for those who aren't maybe it's time you give it a go.

This movie was true to the book as it could be, loved the way the Tale of the 3 Brothers was depicted. I was a little confused about the number of horcruxes that they needed to find, because they don't address the "ring" as already being destroyed. Loved the way Harry, Ron and Hermione wondered in the forest it showed the unrest, lost feeling and hoplessness that was in the book. Great action sequences and Voldermort's own quest was displayed well too. Can't wait for the next one...

I have enjoyed all the Harry Potters books and movies. This one fulfilled all my expectations. It was awesome! It had a great mix of drama, humor, suspense. It was great seeing the relationship between Ron and Hermione start to grow. I'm looking forward to the second part. The ending was the perfect transition to the second part. I will see this one a few more times.

I'm so glad they split the book into two movies. I think they did an excellent job with the parts they covered. The only issues I had were probably time prohibitive. 1. I would have liked for them to show a little more about how upset Harry was when he figured out how little he knew about Dumbledore 2. We should have seen Doby a little more before...!

Great movie! Was very loyal to the book, and only made changes where needed to follow the previous movies. Did very well at inserting comedic momments to help lighten the darker moments! As a Potter nerd it met all my expectations!

this really is just the set-up for what will surely be a really great second part. Not much substance in this movie, however. I do admit time flew during the movie itself, but I almost wish they had made a shorter version of this movie and merged it with the second part.

This movie actually kept more in line with the book. The whole family went and all enjoyed it. Usually at least one of us gets up to refill popcorn and drinks but not at this movie. We have seen all the movies and I would have to say that by far this one was the best, can't wait to see part 2!

This latest episode of the harry Potter saga is as close to the original book as any of the movies have been since #1 and #2. I watched the end credits with my wife and we both were wishing we could stay and see part 2 that night! Sadly, we must wait for it's release during the summer of 2011. The acting was top notch and we loved how the characters and the actors/actresses have grown with the characters. They all did an awesome job.
