Can't wait for the sequel. I was wondering where "Hallows" would be split for the sequel, and it was a great moment. I was surprised that the 2 1/2 hour movie was over. No Potter fan should miss this one.

Be prepared for a more deliberate pace than you are expecting, and a film that uses words to tell the story more than usual. For instance, the character RON has a virtual monologue where he describes what would usually have been shown with special effects. That's refreshing, actually, and the director tips you off that it is coming early in the film if you keep an ear out for it.

It was a great movie, but some of the chase scenes were just too fast to see what was going on. It's a real cliff hanger. It's too bad I have to wait till July, 2011 to see Part II.

Sooooooooooo glad they made the final book into two movies. It was kinda slow in the middle but it was warp speed compared to those chapters in the book it represents. Hands down, best HP film made.

I've read the book, so to see put it on the big screen was going to be challenging. For starters, this story is more "story" and less theatrics, thus the "Growing Up" title. The film had a great plot which was executed excellently. The acting was good also. You can see how the three main characters have developed their skills. I went with my 12 yo daughter and we both liked it. They picked a great place in the storyline to split the film. Fun, fun!!!

Not sure what people are complaining about I thought the movie flew by and it didn't seem long at all. Sucks to have to wait a year for the finale!
All you people saying it was too long or could be shortened need to do your homework. The author demanded that the HP movies follow the books closely.

The reviews I had read said this installment was slow and seemed padded to take the last novel and spread it over 2 movies. Completely agree. Movie felt slow in places, and felt like story elements were kept in to make it 2.5 hours long. The middle 60 mins are especially slow. Hope the final installment has better pacing. Did enjoy seeing the new interaction amongst the three main characters, the angst and tension. They have grown up in front of us.

The movie is very SLOW and could have easily been shortened by 45 minutes! I found it quite boring and the least favorite of the Potter movies. Also, if you are not familiar with the story you have NO idea what is going on.

This movie was the one so far that has remained most true to the book. This is possibly due to the fact that they have more time since they split the last book into two movies. The effects are amazing and new cast members as always continue to surprise. As with all the other movies, I think it would be difficult to fully enjoy and understand if you have not read the books.

After the previous movie, I had low expectations for this movie. I've gone though the current bad reviews on this movie and I have a bit of advice for all of you who saw the movie and didn't understand it... Take the time to read the book, it explains the movie. Now, this moive was not like most movies, there was more imagination put into this movie, they acted without dialog. IMO, very hard to do. It worked well considering in the book, this is exactly what they do. I was wondering where they were going to end this movie. However, they ended it in the perfect place. The end of this movie is the start of some serious action. Keep in mind that when you watch this movie that it is the end of an epic adventure known as Harry Potter's life. He's all grown up now and he has to come to terms with what has happened, what he needs to do vs what he wants to do, and what is going to happen. When I read the book I wanted to reach inside and slap him. His character wasn't very pleasent in the first part. So, read the book, then watch the movie and you'll be able to understand why the characters are so silent. Don't read the book or watch the movie if you don't like drama. This is a serious subject and plot.

I really enjoyed this movie and none of the scenes were boring at all. This movie was better than the halfblood prince, since the 6th movie was meant to set the stage for this one. I can't wait till the second half of this movie comes out!

This movie is filled with action, suspense, and inspiration. Since I have grown up with Harry Potter, the movie did the book as well as the other movies justice.
