I was awed at the movie. It brings you in from the first moment and never stops. I can't wait for the second installment. The death of Dobby was heartbreaking. The acting was top notch. The best Harry Potter to date.

I love the Harry Potter series, but as the books get more and more complicated the movies get worse and worse. I found myself constantly filling in the holes left by what was lacking. I recognize that the books are just so long and that something has to be left out, but in the movie world Harry Potter lacks subtlety and soul. Wish I had better news. Disappointing.

This is how movie adaptations of books should be done! Much of the dialogue was unchanged from the books, I can't think of anything they left out, and they only changed one significant event. I was amazingly pleased with this movie! The acting and filmstyle perfectly captured the story's essence, and I loved every moment of it!

The first installment of the last Harry Potter movie was intense. It's nothing like the first six and yet the same. The setting the story is different, but the writing, the humor, it's all still there. It's hard to picture the the leads as grownups but they have been forced into that by this point. You get to see all of their raw emotions intensify. The ending was incredibly dramatic and when the credits began to role I was dumbfounded. Can't wait for part two. It's dark and scary but so real. You feel like you are really there.

Excellently done in every way imaginable. The acting is better than any other Potter film, and the characters show great development. Special effects are scary, creepy, frightening, and spectacular. A must-see for anyone who has ever touched the book.

I wish there were more than 5 stars. We waited in line to be one of the first people in the theater, and it was worth the wait! This movie, by far, is the best of the series. The acting is fantastic! The tension between the characters is played perfectly. You can tell they have all grown up together and there is an unspoken bond between them, not only as actors. I loved the lightheartedness in some of the scenes. It is great to see Dobby again. This movie left me wanting more!!! If there is one movie you should see this year it is this one!

Wow! I too went for the first time at midnight and it was worth the loss of sleep! Of all the movies it was by far the most amazing! The details they captured and the special effects had me begging for the 2nd movie. Thank cast and producers for putting out this exceptional film!

I was really nervous at first at how they would handle certain situations, what would be edited from the book, but this is the first movie I am not angry with book cuts! They pieced it together perfectly and I thought it was well done. Just dark enough, with humor added when needed.

Amazing graphics and effects, stuck to the story line, smooth transition from book to screen. The actors were amazing in their portrayals of the characters and the development and changes they were going through. Build up and execution of the climactic scenes were very good. Overall, the movie lived up to expectation and I absolutely can't wait for the next half of the installment; July can't come soon enough.

I really enjoyed this movie. I feel that they really did keep to the book and they added in extra stuff that happened in previous books so that you knew who certain people were and what had happened to them. I think this is my favorite one now! Can not WAIT for the next one!

While David Yates has captured the book well in his version of the Deathly Hallows Part 1, he advances the movie with a slow pace and embellishes some of the nonessential parts. Having said that, the action and drama in the movie reflect Rowling's masterpiece well.

Wow, what an incredible movie! I could watch it again and again. It keeps you on your toes and at the edge of your seat. The story for the most part stayed with the book. The ending was definately the right moment to leave you impatiently waiting for the next one. The camera shots were great. The actors did an excellent job. There were a few parts that made the whole audience jump!! It was great! You have to see it. You just have to!!!!!

Harry Potter movies have always been good, but this one had a much more serious vibe. It was a fantastic movie from beginning to end. I sat in my sat in my seat, wand in hand dumbfounded at the epitome of my childhood that is Harry Potter. I read all the book and believe that this movie holds true to it. The special effects were unbelievable. With the exception of the two girls talking in the row ahead of me (So, I decided to tell them what was going to happen because they hadn't read the books) the movie was the highlight for November.

This Part 1 of 2 of the ending stayed pretty close to the book. It is very dark & I would have a hard time saying it would be good for children under 8 to go see. It did lag in some areas, but overall a very worthwhile movie experience.

Saw the film at 12:01 this morning and I thought it was brilliantly done. 7 presents itself as the dark, suspensefuland sad story it is. I found the special effects perfect and the storyline holds true. Even having read the book, I was frightened at times, terribly sad at others and sitting on the edge of my seat.
I wanna see it at an IMAX next!
