I've read a few of the reviews and I think some of us are missing the point. This movie's goal was laying the framework and building a general mood, that will take us into the final sequence. All of the material presented was critical to the story, but more narrative background, which tells me that the final installment will encompass all of the action and emotion. I think Part 1 did it's job in informing us and setting up a mood of complete hopelessness, which is how I felt reading the book towards the middle. Notice, they only touched briefly on Dumbledore and Grindel(whatever's) relationship. Who remembers the best Godfather movie out of the series? #2, because it worked both Vito and Michael's lives and compared the two. I can't wait to see what they have for us next.

I was very happy they took the time to make in into two seperate parts, it allowed them t use the detail needed to be true to the story int he book and for those not having read the book to be able to stay with the story since the last movie. I am anxious to see the final part and hope it is done withthe same sense of intrigue and humor combined to give any viewer an amazing experience!!!!

I really enjoyed the first of the last installment of Harry Potter. It was filled with action and it had you wanting more. I usually don't cry or tear in movies. I defiantly teared up in this one. The ending was at a critical spot in the story. I know for sure I will have to see part two the night it comes out. And if I can find another special to see the previous two movies before part two I will be there.

Loved, loved, LOVED this movie! It stayed very true to the book throughout. The only complaint I have is the gratuitous nudity that lasted for just a few seconds. I don't want to say more, because it would be a spoiler, but this one scene was the only flaw in an otherwise perfectly told story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film! From the classic Potter themed WB insignia, to the final tear-jerking moments. There were moments that were portrayed far greater then anything I'd imagined. This movie has it all! It was very dark and beautifully done. The special effects literally popped right off the screen and even gave audience members a fright. (I jumped out of my seat a couple of times). Go see this movie!!!! You will laugh, you will cry, but best of all, you will LOVE it!

This is by far the best one yet, can't wait for the next one. The other 6 movies should have been done like this, any true Harry Potter fan would agree. We would have waited to see all of them without all the cuts. It has been exactly how we imagined it from the book. Great job, J.K.Rowling and the actors did a wonderful job as well.

HP7 was an amazing movie. I would recommend it to everyone I know. There was great comic relief at the perfect time to balance the melancholy mood of the movie. If you have not already, I would go see it ASAP.

It was actually quite good. Much better than I expected--which isn't really saying much as I've become accustomed to the film industry completely ignoring the genius of the books.
There were some parts that were just plain weird (tent dancing anyone) and I really disliked how much they played with a Harry-Hermione relationship, but this was definitely one of the better HP movies and stayed really close to Rowling's original.
I'm both excited and terrified to see the last installment. I can't believe it's almost over!

This movie was seriously the best one yet. By far my favorite movie of all time. It's exactly the kind of movie we book fanatics have been waiting for! They kept just about everything, added some good humor to play off the loss and sorrow our heroes face, and added an awesome animation scene (phenomenal!) which was a fantastic touch. I would absolutely recommend that every human being should see it! Can't wait for Part II! :D

The movie followed the book really well. It did leave a few things out that were important to the plot. Two major things I noticed were that Harry did not say good bye to the Dursleys. That seen was very touching/awkward I was upset that I didn't get to see that. They also missed Peter Pettigrew kill himself. This was a major part of the book. It showed that Peter still thought back to when Harry saved his life. But overall AMAZInG

Although I wouldn't miss any HP for the world...UGH!
At least the movie helped with console game play for this one.
2-1/2 hrs. sailed by in no time and there were not any yappity kids, or others, to ruin the silence during the entire movie. Not a soul said a word, checked their cell phones, etc.

I think the love of the HP series will be enough to sustain the love of most fans for HP7, but it is a slow-moving, doleful film almost without story. The screenplay is rather dull and one-dimensional without particular interest, intrigue or even satisfying dialogue. It was diagnostic that I could not resist yawning a couple of times. There were a few fine moments to hold onto, but at least one that led a fan behind me to keep repeating "Make it stop." and that was the awkward dance scene between Harry and Hermione which seemed to be irrationally thrown in just to give people a break from frowning or screaming and let them smile at least momentarily. If you're a fan, you've got to go see it of course, but don't expect great things.

It was as exciting as a serial installment should be: it left you hanging, dying for more, but was strangely satisfying in its own right.
It had the perfect balance of action, character development and story pacing. The romance (or lack thereof) has become a manner of inside joke with the audience, but even that, and the movie's humor in general were just so.
Unlike the last few, which suffered from being an unduly truncated rendition of the book, this is an installment exciting enough to bear repeated viewings.

lets all be honest, if you love Harry Potter it was great, but the realization is that when you really look at what you just spent money on...it came up lacking. I said it before I went and i stick by it, I knew I would regret going at midnight. it was part of an epic book, but it was just that...a piece of the whole. I guess i was expecting there would be more of an ending than how it did end. I probably would tell a friend "Hey look, if you can't wait, go ahead and see it but to be honest, wait until part one and two come out and catch the double feature" I was excited to hear the split but I guess I was just hoping for an intermission, not 6 months to get any sort of satisfaction and tied lose ends.

Best of the series, no question about it. I really enjoyed the way this one was filmed; it seemed different from the prior movies, especially in that respect. It was also so much more personal. I cried at some parts, laughed at others, and it captured me just as much as the book did, which cannot be said about the earlier installments.
In short, I'll be seeing this one again and again.
