Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows not only gave movie-goers the intense action they expected, but also had them laughing with the awkwardness of Ron and Hermione as well as sitting on the edge of their seats while Harry and Voldemort go after the same thing, each other. The perfect combination of scare along with comedic relief gave us the perfect feeling of wanting more! Part two, to be released in July, has a lot to live up to. This is one movie that should not be missed. Parents, caution, parts of this movie are unsuitable for young children.

In whole the movie is normal, but you can't compare it with the book. Some scenes were very rough, others made me excited. It's worthy seeing once.
P.S. Loved the way they spoiled the romantics of the kiss =)

The movie was the best of the series and the action was a huge step-up from any of the other films! However, my movie was ruined by AMC when their film cut off as Dobby proclaimed, "I have no master!" They were unable to fix the film and I left more disappointed than excited over what a wonderful movie it was. Thanks for ruining my HP experience AMC.

I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves HP and loves action. There are scenes that made everyone in the theatre gasp, made people cry, and there were a few "nail biters" throughout the movie. I have to say that it is basically verbatim the book, and it is well worth the sleep deprived self that I am dealing with today because of the midnight premier.

Was fantastic!!! Enough humor to temper the seriousness but enough intensity to convey the danger. The actors appear so comfortable in their roles that it seems second nature to them and is a pleasure to watch. Of course, my daughter and I would be happy if the movie had been 3 1/2 hours long!!!!!!!!

Brilliantly done! Conveyed the emotion felt with the book without leaving you too downhearted. The way they intertwined the sadness, loneliness, and fear with a little light-hearted humor was adsolutely perfect. The best part was, with the exceptions of a few small parts, how well it went right along with book. Loved it!!! I'll be seeing it again, very soon. Can't wait for Part 2!

This movie was absolutely superb and encompassed all of the key elements of the last book's meaning very well. It has been a year or so since I read the book, but I think they even portrayed some parts of the story in greater detail than J.K. Rowling necessarily touched on in the book, specifically how hard things are now for the three main characters.

I loved the movie. I would recommend everyone to see it. The acting was really good. I do feel that they left out things. I was hoping the part where harry was being moved in the beginning would show a lot more action then it did.

Everything was amazing.. the acting, the directing, and how they organized the content. Very much a dark movie, and I was actually scared at one point during their visit to Godric's Hollow.
Best was that Part 1 could actually stand on its own. In a way, it had a legitimate ending and if you didn't know about the books you'd think it was another open ended movie with a sequel coming up.

I was all set to be disappointed, considering what a botched job the movie makers did on the last installment. But, this movie was incredible.
There's a lot of information to cram into these last two movies and they've done a brilliant job in Part 1. The movie was funny, suspenseful, heartbreaking and had lots of action. Can't wait to see it again!

As a reader of the books I was apprehensive about this movie. I thought that The Half-Blood Prince was terrible and didn't follow the book at all. Deathly Hallows part 1 was FANTASTIC. It exceeded all of my expectations. They followed the book so closely. I could only spot a few differences. It is a build up movie but they do a great job filling in where the last movie lacked.

The story line was very good . The entire movie flowed perfectly from one scene to another. The dialog helped this with humor that made you laugh line after line. It was interesting to see how the screen writer was able to add comic relief when in this Harry Potter there was more death and tragedy than throughout all the other movies combined. Another spectacular thing about the movie was the special effects which had improved greatly since that last movie "The Half-Blood Prince". The magic was more intriguing with fascinating spells that the viewers had'nt seen in previous movies. If there were to be a negative side to this movie it would be the lack of details that the book provides but the movie cannot because of time limitations it has. Also I feel that some viewers who have not read the book could be confused when they see Dolores Umbridge in this new Movie "Deathly Hollows Part 1" when if the saw "Order of the Pheonix" the would have seen Dolores get taken away by Centaurs and seem to have been killed. Other than the few and minor mistakes the movie was done perfectly. I recomend it to anyone who is a movie lover and a fan of the books. Enjoy!

Being a Potter fan, I was excited that it was finally here. The only thing I wasn't looking forward to was the fact that they were going to split it. I wasn't disappointed though. They split it at the right time, so kudos for that. Will probably see it again and can't wait for the final chapter.

This is a chance to see the Harry Potter character in a more 'grown-up" light. Action-packed from beginning to end and appreciated dollops of humour along the way. This movie exceeded my expectations and I am now eagerly anticipating the finale. A must see...but with definite parental advisory :)

This is without a doubt the best movie in the series, both for those who read the books and those who didn't. For one thing it follows the story Rowling wrote so closely, barely anything is cut out. Dan, Emma, and Rupert have all become very good actors, which makes the intense and emotional scenes that much better. The other actors are good too, but for the majority of the movie we are with the trio only. Compared to the rest of the series this one is incredibly dark, with several border-line disturbing scenes. All of it fits, though, and serves to emphasize how serious and desperate things have become in the wizarding world.
