I'm a huge fan of the books, having read each as it was released and multiple times since then. This movie was fantastic, and the best of the series by far!! The pacing and action was good, and most importantly, they got all the little important parts right. Normally, I find something huge to nitpick (as far as being important to the story and misrepresented onscreen), but found no such problems here. And I thought they ended it at a very appropriate place. It's dark and gloomy, and evil seems to be winning... like I read in one review, it's this series' "Empire Strikes Back". I'm desperate to see Part 2 now!

This movie was very well put-together, from the music to the artistic interpretation of the Deathly Hallows story. From beginning to end, the dark themes, and indeed, look, of the film keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat - or pressed to the back of the chair. It was a surprise to see how certain parts of the film were done - an introduction of sexuality being one and torture for another - but neither disappointed and were tastefully done. The one who stole the show was Rupert Grint; his much more grown up and at times quite dark performance stood out from the rest while keeping the humorous charm we've come to expect from Ron. The question now will not be "will Voldemort be defeated?", but "will the fans survive until the release of Part 2?"

The first time i heard they were dividing the book into two movies i thought they better keep it close to the book then. When I saw it it was beyond what i had expected. I mean it was totally great. When I read the book i just kept getting bored for the first 25 chapters loike nothing was really enertaining to me in it. But they took the movie and made it just absoutlely awesome they took the boring part of the book and turned into enjoyable I recommend for everyone to see it!!!!!

This movie is worth your time and money. It had no slow parts. They stayed true to the novel for the most part. The special effects were extraordinary! I would not recommend it for children under 14 though because the scary parts might create nightmares and lost sleep. It would be very intense in I-Max also. I will most likely be seeing it again in the theater because there were subtle background hints that I wish to pick up and think about in preparation for the final movie.

This movie was awesome. It followed the book really well, taking some of the lines straight from the book. A few scenes made me shed a tear or two. The end point was a great place to stop, in my opinion. All in all, I was impressed with the movie, and will definitely recommend it.

By far the best Harry Potter film yet. The kids have improved tremendously as actors. I thought it was going to be hard for this film to stand on it's own, and while you do get the sense it's all set up for the final movie, it makes a valiant effort.

This was a fantastic movie!!! I felt I was there with Harry and the gang!!
I especially enjoyed the story of the three brothers and how it was told, very artistic.
I would highly recommend this movie to all fans of Harry Potter movies and books. This one certainly stayed true to the book.

This movie was jaw-dropping amazing. To the people who said there wasn't enough character arc, I disagree. Ron goes from his best friend to a raging crazy, and Hermione and Harry become much closer. Everybody changes somehow. Someone said there wasn't enough humor. I don't know what they were expecting because this was not supposed to be lighthearted. The movie itself was wonderful. Great shot and action sequences. A few complaints however, and they honestly are not even that big and do not effect the story. 1) in the beginning when they are going to the Burrow, Hagrid and Harry are supposed to go to Tonks' parents house right? I thought that's what happened. 2) when the trio is at the Lovegood's, the house explodes because they hit the horn hanging on the wall. and 3) weren't they supposed to see Rowena Ravenclaw's headpiece at the Lovegood's? I am positivie they'll bring it back, because they couldn't possibly leave that out. It was so nice to Finally see J.K.'s name on the producer list during the credits. I am so pleased with the outcome of this movie and do not have 8 months worth of patience for part two.

I will faithfully rate this movie 5 stars, though there were a few places my friends and I raised our eyebrows and tried not to laugh or scoff. Ron's jealously was definitely amplified in this one. Ending was changed around a bit, but that wasn't too unexpected. I am still grateful there are two movies for the end - that really saved this movie from being rushed.
Actors were wonderful in all their roles. Really shows how they've grown throughout the series. They are truly their characters. Visually stunning and befitting, it really brings the world to life better than my imagination is capable of.
Good balance of a few comic moments to alleviate the heavy intensity. And of course, they leave it at the worse possible cliffhanger which will leave all its fans groaning at the wait for part 2.

This movie was amazing! Harry Potter fans will be happy with how well this movie was done. The actors played thier roles perfectly and the ending will leave you begging for July to come. This installment has the most action out of any of the previous movies and keeps viewers on the edge of their seat. It does drag on for a bit in the middle, but it stays true to the book. Best Harry Potter film to date!

Am I the only one that noticed that they didn't mention what the other two horcruxes are? Or the fact that Dumbledore told Harry that one of them was Nagini? Kinda disappointed with that. They wouldn't have had to do a rush introduction with Bill Weasley if they would have stayed slightly truer to the last book. I'm even more disappointed with them not developing the relationship with Kreature. Now, overall, they didn't jack this movie into tiny bits and pieces like they did the last 3, so one can only hope for small miracles.

The movie, I thought, was really well done. I enjoyed watching it and felt a part of the wizarding world. Unfortunately, there were a few added scenes in the movie, but they were just small details that fans would notice. Overall, it was so amazing, and worth the 3 hours of sleep the next morning!

The movie did seem a little rushed compared to the book (it compacted 10 chapters in the 2 1/2 hours), but as a stand alone movie I thought it was pretty good. The scenery is beautiful in the movie as well! I would go see it again!:)

This movie is what 5 + 6 weren't, detailed! it fills in the missing parts that were missed in 5 + 6 and follows the book extremely well. great sense of humor mixed in the what is a dark, tragic story, back to what it was in the begining years. all the characters are back in a tour de force in the finale. defianately worth the money and time!
