I found this movie to horrible and incredibly slow moving. It seemed to me they could have done a much better at casting the role of the Green Hornet, Seth Rogan did not do it justice. However, the role of Kato was fantastic. I was very disapointed with this movie and expected alot more from it.

I didn't know what to expect from this movie, but I was surprisingly pleased! The movie is very funny and Jay Chou is awesome! I loved the way the movie honored Bruce Lee by showing his "drawings". Kato is awesome! The kids and I enjoyed it very much!

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. It was definitely a bromance movie. The funny banter between the Green Hornet and his little sidekick, Kato, was hilarious. There was enough action to keep the movie interesting. Cameron Diaz was a surprisingly good fit as the brainy secretary and the brains behind the Green Hornet duo.

Strange....as a fan of the 60's Tv series, that show could have used more humor, more explosions and some longer Kato fights. This new film had overkill of all of the above. I liked the funny interplay of the characters but when Seth puts on the mask, his voice should change and he should seriously be The Green Hornet. Maybe they can refine this in a sequel? I think there's hope they could still hone this into a better series. This is too good a character to ruin.

Is it just me, or is anyone else thoroughly exhausted with Seth Rogen's Expert A-Hole schtick?
Granted, he does it very well--maybe TOO well--but unfortunately he's the worst part about this otherwise mildly entertaining film.
After an absolutely hilarious early sequence between James Franco and Christoph Waltz, any comic subtlety or nuances that you may anticipate afterward are instead replaced by disappointing, sophmoric and uninspired comedy/action with characters who aren't just flawed personalities, but annoyingly flawed with little evidence of significant change by the end.
Additionally, anyone who can identify with the actual experiences of the Kato played by Bruce Lee in the 60s television series will be left wondering, "Has anything really changed in the last half century? Though the current film update directly deals with the issue of the unappreciated (and non-white) sidekick, the film's writers never truly add anything of value to the notion of the rich white guy getting all the credit while the hired help does 99% of the work. If there was some tongue-in-cheek concerning Taiwanese star Jay Chou's mechanical genius and kick-ass-ed-ness over Rogen's ignorant ineptitude, I missed it. Is that the sound of Bruce Lee turning over in his grave?
Lastly, I couldn't imagine why anyone would shell out the extra duckets for a 3D experience of a frustratingly mediocre film.
It's a great Netflix watch. Until then, save your time and money. There will be plenty of opportunties to see full-screen previews of 'Thor' and 'Sucker Punch,' movies that--at least initially--seem to satisfy the halfway intelligent and discerning super hero fanboy/girl Nerd Herd.

Seth Rogen, you can keep him. He added nothing to the movie except stupidity. Jay Chou, however, was quite entertaining and I would like to see him in another movie. The Green Hornet would have done better had it been played straight. It was No. 1 at the box office last week, but I think word of mouth will send it to DVD pretty quickly. Bottom line - save your money.

I wasn't going in expecting to be blown away, and didn't walk out with a changed mind. It was very cliche and they made no attempt to hide that fact. There were some good action scenes and plenty of stuff got blown up. The characters were flimsy at best, and the plot felt forced. What a true disgrace to the original GH. Bad acting, bad dialogue. The special effects were the only part of the movie worth seeing. Jay Chou's accent was so thick, only every 10th word was discernable. Seth Rogan portrayed the main character like he's a Will Ferrel wannabe. He's not even good eye-candy.

A great way to spend about a couple of hours for some laughs and action. Not your serious TV series or the old radio shows with the much comedy entered. Still it was alot better then I expected and recommend it but watch the age rating for the violence and language. It is good enough I may just go ahead and add it to our library. Being the theater has raised it's prices again we decided to watch it in 2D.

Let's face it, the winter doldrums are upon us. What could be better than a light hearted action flick with a comedic, tongue in cheek edge, having fun and making fun of the superhero genre all at once. Seth Rogan is simultaneously silly, likeable, and a cad. Cato is simply a joy to watch whether making coffee or kicking butt with awesome martial arts. No, it's not Good Will Hunting or some other sniffly feel good drama. It's just good fun on the big screen.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not being a big Seth Rogen fan, I went in with low expectations. I was more into seeing this variation of the Green Hornet and Chou's version of Kato. Christopher Waltz was also big on my list of why I saw this movie.
The editing was choppy and the storyline didn't have a smooth flow. This was more surprising than annoying (again, my expectations were already low) as I was still able to keep up with where things were going. The fight scenes were good, the banter between Green Hornet and Kato was entertaining, the subtle Bruce Lee references were cool.
Seth Rogen was mildly funny, Christopher Waltz' talents were underutilized, Cameron Diaz' character was pointless, Jay Chou stole the show.
Overall, this was not a horrible movie, mostly light matinee entertainment. However, if you're expecting comicbook hero story-telling caliber like Tim Burton's Batman film series, you'll be disappointed.
See the movie if you are a Seth Rogen fan. See the movie for Jay Chou; he admits he's no Bruce Lee, but he did justice to the character and saved the movie.
