I thought the movie started out well when you didn't have a clear image of the beast. Catching glimpses here and there of it fueled the imagination. Then when they finally showed the wolf, I was like, "That looks like Teen Wolf." That kind of ruined it for me, the story was alright. Predictable. Should have waited to see it on DVD.

The tone of the movie is simply eerie throughout -just want you want. Few scenes make you literally jump, hehe. Acting by all main actors was very good. Have to love the famous Hopkins pycho expressions and interesting to see Del Toro's Jeckyll and Hyde personality come to life. Would have preferred the death of Hopkins to be more tragic and Del Toro's more intense than a bye bye- something to leave you crying all the way home. Nonetheless, this was a very entertaining movie that fans will appreciate!

If you like horror pictures, you will probably like the Wolfman. It was dark, sinister, and full of flying blood. Sadly, there was just no real intensity or momentum. The only people who were on the edge of their seats were the ones waiting for the movie to be over. The climatic fight scene near the end of the movie made most of the audience laugh-out-loud. Great cast, fun remake, mediocre results.

Great casting of Hopkins and Del Toro. Both are perfect for creepy characters. The fight scenes between father and son were the best parts of the movie. Howling wolf images at full moon were great mood setters, and makeup was really creepy. Other than that, Lon Chaney made a better Larry Talbot. Good for a few grins.

This movie had a darkness similar to the movie Sleepy Hollow. There aren't really any jump out of your seat scares, but the acting was solid, and the cinematography was beautiful. There is enough blood to keep you interested throughout. The make up and effects were very well done.

Stuck with the original Wolfman theme - didn't go overboard with special effects - I'd definately recommend seeing it if you love old horror movies! There were some cheesy lines but overall it was good.

Okay, I know it's a fantasty/horror movie, but come on. You would think with some of these fine actors it would've been better made, but it was a remake. This movie should have been a 3hour movie, it was intense, suspenseful, and so well animated- great actors- but it was such a choppy story line. Should have followed through more and gone into deeper detail but the action scenes where crazy awesome! Go see it but you'll leave feeling cut short.

Over all I enjoyed this movie. My mom really enjoyed it. I had a hard time finding Benicio Del Toro believable. Anthony Hopkins was very good as he is in every role I've seen him play. Although there were some interesting twists, I just found this to be a typical wolfman story.

I enjoyed this movie. It was dark cinematography (great since it's a horror flick). Special effects were really good, glad they didn't go overboard with CGI. Hopkins was great as usual. I don't like Del Toro as a rule but he did ok in this movie. Loved Emily Blunt and Hugo was fantastic. I saw this movie Sunday with my kids (adult), and then went again on Monday with my mom. If you enjoyed the original Wolfman movies then you will truley enjoy this one!

I was so excited to see this movie after seeing the previews. I took my mom for her birthday and my two kids. Awful!! What a bore and then how ridiculous! When you find yourself laughing at the "scary" parts, you know something's wrong. The dialogue was lame. The movie was a waste of time. One of the worst I've seen in a long, long time. I was really disapointed by the movie. The plot had a few new twists, but I really did not get envolved with Benico Del Toro character. Anthony Hopkins was great and I thought that Hugh Weaving really was remarkable in a supporting role. The pace generally was good, the special effects were excellent. I've been a universal studios monster movie fan all my life [I'm 46 yrs. old]. The original Wolf-man starring Lon Chaney Jr has always been one of my favorites. This movie is by far one of the few really good remakes I've ever seen. It's got everything a good horror movie should have, gore, suspense, mystery,great make-up & special effects. Benicio Del- toro & Anthony Hopkins were excellent as usual. The plot while still the same as the original except for a few changes to improve it was very cool. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good horror movie

I was disappointed, I was expecting much more after the buildup and was looking forward to seeing it. Everyone that was with me agreed, wait until it comes out on DVD, not worth paying more to see in the theater. I'm not sure I'll watch it again.

Frankly it's better than the original...(Yes. I know that's near sacrilege to some.) But the script is far better, and in a surprise twist for an R-rated film...clean. Gentlemanly, in fact.
Casting is as near perfect as you could hope for. Rick Baker's makeup was inspired by the Jack Pierce classic.
I want to see this in IMAX, now.

I've always been a fan of the Wolfman starring Lon Chaney Jr. I was quite surprised to see a new rendering featuring none other than Benecio del Toro as Lawrence Talbot....It was a different venue for him but overall, I think he did an amazing job. And of course, anything Anthony Hopkins does, is pure brilliance. The special effects were great, the upclose shots of the changing into the monster were fantastic. It was alot of gore and I definitely jumped much more than I anticipated. It was great. I would definitely see it again.
