This is a great movie for the whole family. It was funny and enjoyable, kids of all ages (and kids at heart) will enjoy this movie. It has a great storyline with some of Hollywood's best actors.

Moral of the storyline was great! Not for kids under 10. Some scenes may be a little frightening for young ones. Funny, yet it makes good for nice family conversation.

The kids loved the movie . My daughter 10, my son 5. They would want to see the movie again. I think that is all that matters. I would not want to see it again.

We loved watching this movie... It had a great story line. Adam Sandler is always a sucess. We enjoyed the humor, acting, and special effects throughout the movie.
I'm glad that we paid extra for the 3D- it brought it to life that much more...
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, funny jokes!, humor for all ages!

This movie is a real waste of time. The dialogue is full of lowest-common-denominator humor. The character design shows no strong artistic sense or consistency. The use of 3D does not even rise to the level of adequate. There's maybe one or two funny lines. The best that can be said is that there are a few decent voice performances in it. This is piece of Hollywood product, plain and simple. Don't check in to the Hotel Transylvania!

I took our 8 and 5 yo kids to see this... they said it was awesome, but kids almost always say that after a movie. In fact they did not laugh once during the movie, and there were very few laughs from anyone. Hardly a groundbreaking film. A lot of body-function/bathroom humor, nothing original. Not much of a plot either - easy for kids to follow, a bore for grown-ups. After the first 20 minutes I was just marking time waiting for it to end. If you're going to see it anyway, then go 2D, because the 3D version had little extra to offer. Bottom line: this movie is little more than an excuse to lure kids into McDonalds for Happy Meal toys.

I love CGI animated movies. Pixar, Dreamworks, etc. This movie seemed very slapped together, not very well thoughtout, and lacked a big screen story line. Much more of a made for TV storyline. I did not laugh out loud one time. Had weak humor and the monsters were, well, all wimps. My 5 year old said it was "OK". Even she was bored. To me, the humor and dialogue was the worst part. It just didn't flow and was awkward. Wait for DVD or the dollar movies if you have that option.

My family has been anticipating the release of this film for several months. It had very high expectations to live up to. It definitely delivered! Great story, with a few unexpected twists along the way.

This is easily the worst children's cartoon movie I've ever seen. It is simply put NOT funny. I did not laugh at all during the entire thing. I took my 10 year old grandson and he didn't laugh either. The children I saw laughing were extremely young (6 or so). The premise is cute...teenage dracula reaching maturity, wanting to see world, over protective dad, but it just fell flat on its face. Folks, I would not waste a dime to see this one. We paid $20 to see it in 3D and the 3D affects weren't even good. Wait until it comes out for $1 at Redbox.

My 5 year old son absolutely loved it as did I. It's a super cute story specially since its close to halloween. The Art direction was excellent as well. I'm sure your children will love watching this movie fun for both kids and adults.
